I bought this for my daughter for her 4th birthday. She is in LOVE with it! Even though she has been wanting one for several months, I was almost reluctant to get one for her because I thought she was too young. - Boy was I wrong! She knows how to play it better than I do, and this really occupies her. Great for travel, while waiting in the office, or just lying around the house.
I highly recommend this to anyone with a child. It is very entertaining and some of the games you can find are quite educational as well.
I was able to find her the Coral Pink one, even though it has been discontinued now. Hopefully Nintendo will bring it back because this color is much better than the Metallic Rose one.

It's the greatest console I have ever used!I love the touch screen!It can hold both GBA(Game Boy Advanced)and DS games!

My daughter is 10 and she's can be very hyper especially when she's bored. I bought her all kind of toys to keep her busy. The busyness lasts for a while and then she's bored again. Well july we were on vacation in Florida and I bought her a DS. Best thing I could have ever done. She hasn't complained about being bored ever since. And I don't need to worry about what she's watching on tv because she's busy with her DS. She loves it. For Christmas she said mommy I'll just tell santa to bring me 3 new games. I was so happy cause that means she plans on keeping herself busy with the DS for long time to come. GREAT BUY!!!! You nor your kid won't regret it. By the way it's not that fragile, because my daughter isn't all that carfeful!!!!!!!

My daughter really does love this. Yet although my daughter is only 3 still she enjoys it a lot. Loves to play the different games on it. Got dropped quite a few times and yet it still does work perfectly fine!

**The Original Nintendo DS was great, but when the Lites hit stores, it wowed video-gamers with its bright screens, cool colors, and slimness. I got it for Christmas, and my parents don't regret buying it because I'm on it ALL the time. You'll find yourself getting addicted to it! It's the best hand-held game system of all time.**
