Functional but doesn't last!

I am on my third.
The first one's power button collapsed and then I took it apart and threw it away.
The second one had the same problem and I figured out how to get it to keep working but I accidently broke the actual button (under the rubber) when I tried to fix it for the second time. The first time I fixed it I took it apart and opened the inner watertight chamber to release the vacuum.
The third one did the same thing. I figured out (with the second one but I did it wrong) how to get around the problem-by poking a hole through the rubber so the vacuum lets it pop back up. The downside is that you can't use it in the shower after that.
The other downside is that after time the cutting head gets loose over time causing it to easily fall out because it's held in by flimsy plastic clips.
It is good for shaving everywhere but the groin/underarms. I just use a regular razor for that.
I'll probably buy another one because they are very well designed...just very cheaply made, and I can't find anything else that functionally compares.

Terrible trimmer

Ignore the positive reviews [...]. Poor design, horrendous cutting ability, and cheaply constructed. Buy this trimmer and you will become just as frustrated as I am. And I DID follow the instructions; it's a trimmer for Pete's sake, not a $20,000 home-entertainment system. I got what I paid for, and it's going back today. Purchase at your own risk.

I'm glad to see I was not the only one that had to go through this pain. But, why waiste your time even trying this piece of junk. What a wast of good shaving time, especially when it does not shave at all, it simply pulls your body hair as you try to shave with it. I have never tortured myself before, but that was what my attempt to use this piece of plastic and cheap metal was like, pure torture and the scares will remain with me for some time. I don't know if I will ever be able to use an electric groomer again!! Save your time and money and tell the store to return all of their "Bodygroom/ Torture instruments back to Norelco before someone really gets hurt with one of them.

I've read the reviews good and bad. I find this trimmer to be more good than bad. The only problem I find with it (the reason why I won't give it 5 stars) is that you'll need to replace the foil quite a bit as it slips out of the head and is difficult to replace. I just ordered a bunch of the heads for replacement. Just be aware of that before you purchase this trimmer. The heads are $10 each. But it trims well and I've never been cut. I shave my head, face and chest and it works great!

Bought one about 2 1/2 years ago and fouind it to work quite well for just about every area including those below the belt. Yeah, it has to be charged for 8 hours if you run the battery down but, if like me you just leave it the charger instead of sitting on thew basin or in the shower you'll never have to worry about that. I only reason I bought a new one is I left it somewhere while traveling.
Over all I would recomend buying this one. Also I have recomended this one to several friends. none have had any complaints.

I bought my husband the earlier model several years ago and he loved it...after a few years it stopped holding a charge (which is typical of these kinds of products) so I got him this newer one and he still loves it too. For the price, you really can't beat it.

I've had this trimmer for about 2 years. During that time, I thought it was great for a while because I had never come across another shaver like it. It shaves everywhere just fine. Now it does have a few cons. The main problem I had with it is that the head piece comes off a lot. You can prevent this from happening by going a little slower. Another con was the fact that you have to charge it for 8 hours to get 90 minutes of power. Other than that it works pretty well.
Recently my shaver stopped working out of nowhere. Now I can't turn it on. The button is pressed in and does not pop out for anything in the world. I guess I'll have to buy another one...

Tried new 2030 version

Just bought the newer (?) 2030 version (little more pricy) and I like it so far. First time and when removing long hair just move a bit slower and it's not painful at all. Onced trimmed, you can use the shaver attachment w/o switching heads.
I give it 4 stars and not 5 as the attachment fins need to be made thicker so they don't easily break when removing.
My guess is that it uses a NiCad battery instead of Lithium. As such, follow the directions and don't leave it on the charger and allow it to run down until the red light comes on before charging it again for 8 hours.
Makes quick work of unwanted hair and does not pinch the skin. Lightweight and comfortable. Good rubber grip all over.

Simply worth being able to do any and all trimming below the neckline in the shower. Although you do get a better shave while you're dry, if you make consistent use of this and always lather up with either soap/water or shaving cream, the smoothness quality you get is top notch. Does take some getting used to and the attachments are virtually useless if your hair is wet, but overall a great buy for the convenience of doing it while you shower.

The norelo bodygroom promises no nicks or cuts in the downstairs area....maybe I just have really sensitive skin, I don't know. But I got more "bites" from this sucker than a Mach 3 ever delivered. Not to mention that the shave was nowhere near close. NICE TRY NORELCO.
