looks pretty but beware July 16, 2007 Reviewer:  Jade "just-jade" (boston ma)  See all my reviews >

i thought this was the perfect popper since it was air popper and was cute. was i wrong! the kernals kept shooting out of the chamber when it was heating up. when it finally started popping, more kernals came up with the popped corn, then when the remaining corn popped, it was sitting in the platform not sliding down into the bowl. then it burned the rest. immediately returned it. picked up a orville reddenpopper by presto, lost only 10 kernals with that one.

Beware January 1, 2008 Reviewer:  WK "WK" (PA)  See all my reviews >

We were given one of these for a Christmas present. First time using it, was about finished popping, flames shot out the bottom, and it quit. No UL seal on package and made in China. No oil was used in the popper, flames came from the electric motor underneath. Sure glad we were watching it and no paper was close by.

Looks like a million bucks/ works like two cents March 13, 2008 Reviewer:  pkepf (Atlanta, GA USA)  See all my reviews >

When my wife brought this home I was delighted by its appearance. We discovered, however that it has several design flaws. A goodly amount of popped corn lodged at both sides of the back, refusing to come down (did not try sledge hammer). Un-popped kernels slid into our bowl, exploded there, and popped corn flew everywhere. More unpopped kernels (10-20%) simply remained at the bottom of the popper. The wheels at the front did not allow placement of any but a small bowl below the chute- no large bowl for multiple batches. This may be a design feature, however, since we discovered that popping two batches in a row occasionally caused overheating. It apparently has an overheat shutoff sensor, since it did stop a few times in mid-batch. Sad to say, the sensor did not preclude the little blower fan inside from melting. I discovered this during a post-mortem two weeks after purchase. It now lies in state with other [...] junk.

Terrible November 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Leah "Leah" (Maryland)  See all my reviews >

The machine is terribly designed. I read directions carefully, and was careful to use the right amount of popcorn. But, my first and only popping experience with this popper was a disaster.
The machine was extremely noisy, both my girls cried.
When if started popping, there were hot kernels flying all over the room, even with bowl right up to the opening.
When we were finished there was about half a small bowl full of popcorn, and a lot of unpopped kernels. I measured just to see how bad it was, no including the ones that were all over my kitchen floor, there was still half left.
Just don't buy it. We will try to return it.

Cute to look at but it doesn't work very well. April 20, 2008 Reviewer:  K. Lee Real Name See all my reviews >

I received this popcorn maker as a gift. It worked pretty well at first. Now it shoots popcorn and kernals out all over the place and more unpopped kernals wind up in the bowl then popped ones. It is also very loud and you must wait about a half an hour until the machine cools down before popping a second batch.

bad choice January 6, 2008 Reviewer:  toniaC "toniaC" (nh)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this popper to replace one which I loved but had no off/on switch. Now I long for my old one. This popper shoots popcorn and seeds everywhere and then when its done popping you find more seeds than popcorn. It makes hardly any in one popping session that for those who plan on putting on a movie with some munchies better plan on sitting with this popper for quite a while.

Pretty Good! December 9, 2007 Reviewer:  Mehsy Kodak "Madalynn H" (Hershey)  See all my reviews >

My father bought this the Christmas of last year - it was so adorable. It pops very well, as long as you keep the kernals at the normal amount. It doesn't pop uncontrollably, either if you keep it at it's maximum amount of kernals. It's great for any party - all my friends love it.

A Big Disappointment December 1, 2008 Reviewer:  cMsCLava (Southern Cali)  See all my reviews >

We bought this product with high expectations. So when we gave it a try we were all disappointed. I read the directions carefully before using it, but when we tried it out, we got more kernels in the bowl than we did popcorn. So I figured I probably didn't do something correctly and re-read the directions, waited the proper amount of time to let the machine cool off and gave it another try. I got the same result, more kernels in the bowl than popcorn. It is also very loud. We already took it back for a refund and will be looking for a better popper.

Garbage, do NOT buy! June 30, 2009 Reviewer:  John Buol See all my reviews >

After unpacking and reading the directions I tried my first batch. I should have had a vacuum cleaner handy for the resultant mess. Among the many crimes committed by this wretched device:

Bulky, over-sized design
Nostalgic wheels prevent bowl from getting underneath chute properly
Only half the kernels managed to pop. The rest would spray out randomly, often missing the bowl.

The company that released this travesty focused so much on the nostalgic appearance that they forgot one thing: Popping popcorn!

I reread the directions and tried popping two more batches, just to be sure. Same pathetic result. Needless to say, I promptly returned this piece of junk.
