I think that the overall concept and design are great for these items, but the size of the potty chair is too small for my son. His boy parts are smooshed up against the front of the potty when he sits on it. I don't think that it would be a problem for an average-sized child, but my son was over 11 pounds and 23.5 " long at birth and is still well above the 95th percentiles in wt/ht. He's not overweight/chubby in the least, just proportionately large for his age. Brett really enjoys the book and "Joshua" doll/toy potty, so we will continue to use those items during his training process, but will have to find a bigger potty for him to sit on. I would still recommend this potty if you have a daughter (less equipment to "fit" into the potty) or an average to petite son. I will try this potty again with our daughter when her time comes.

I ordered this back in February and am still waiting for it. I don't understand why Target puts items on its website if they are this difficult to get. Especially for registry items, it is frustrating when people try to get you a gift in a timely fashion.

The story is really cute. My son thinks of this as more of a toy then a toilet. I ended up getting him the royal potty.

My son has this for over a year now. He likes when I read him the book. This book has same story as the DVD, so it's nice to have them both. potty is shaped in a way so the pee would not splash out. Its very handy. My son loves it, although he only use it when he feels like it, not on regular basis. Product is great!

"Once Upon a Potty" is a true classic, magical, and does the job, what can I tell you? And now we've discovered the doll set with its own mini potty and our boy will just not put it down. Great play value, in connection or independent of training efforts. This is the one to get!!
