Good for small areas only

I bought this after getting tired of unkinking, untangling, and winding up my 50 foot garden hose every day in the summer. Unfortunately, I found myself fighting with this hose just as much. Like a telephone cord, the coils tended to loop inside one another or form antihelices which made for even more of a mess than my standard hose. Also, it doesn't stretch to anywhere near 50 feet because that kinks the coils. If you have a smaller area to cover (close to the faucet!), this would be great, but if you need to travel any distance away from the faucet, I'd recommend sticking with a traditional hose.

Hose Diameter Too Small

The first thing to be aware of is that the diameter of this hose is extremely small. This makes it impossible to use with most sprinklers or watering systems. I'm guessing it's 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter. Note it doesn't list the diameter size here which is the most important thing to consider when buying a watering hose. Other retailers list the diameter as 3/8 inch which is to small for most watering sprinklers to work properly, which I discovered by trial. Average size hoses run from 5/8, 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter. The second thing is that the coiling wears out very quickly.

This hose gets nice and tangled and kinks very easy. Better yet, the plastic is so thin that it cannot handle the pressure and so you are left with a hose that leaks all over the place!!! Definitely not worth the $$$!!!! Spend a little bit more for a more durable hose.

I purchased this hose in May. In general, I have been very happy with it. Tonight, while watering my flowers, the coiled hose disconnected from the brass fitting that screws into the sprayer. Unfortunately, there is no way to reattach it ... so I paid $20 for something that lasted 4 months. You do, however, get to keep the sprayer!!

The hose kinks easily and tangles when retracting into a coil. I attached a sprinkler to the hose to attempt to water my lawn. The hose pulled the sprinkler to about 15’-20’ from the house. I had to water the remaining portion of my yard using the included sprayer. When the hose is stretched out to its 50’ limit the hose easily kinks. The hose works great for watering plants within approximately 25’ of your faucet. Personally, when I buy a 50’ hose, I want to be able to work when it is extended 50’. I will be returning this hose to the store.

I have had this hose for 4 years now- I use it almost every day to water my flowers and wash my dogs. It is perfect for city living- I can unhook it and store it in the laundry room, or just leave it outside on our patio with now worries. The only reason I am now buying another one is because my dogs got bored this month and decided to chew 3 holes in it...grrrr. I am happy to see they still have this product cause I love mine!
