Better than expected! The metal is solid and thicker than it appears in the photo and won't get bent out of shape. The trundle bed/drawer is not attached, simply stores under the daybed. The coverlet is printed cotton with a satin ruffle around 3 sides (the two long sides and one short side), so it can be used as a cover when the doll is in bed. My daughter puts both of her dolls to sleep here at night, then sits them on it during the day. A quilted placemat works perfectly as the second doll's quilt.

My 5 year-old daughter used her birthday money to buy this bed for her American Girl doll. She says '5 stars is not enough - it should really get 8 pink stars!'

I know the product info states that it's metal, but honestly - it's heavy! I was really surprised! This is not thin wiry junk. Her 3 year-old brother and sister have both been caught lying on the bed/trundle and it's no worse for wear. It's also been knocked of off door frames and dropped once or twice. It really stands up to the play of a little girl and her younger siblings.

The bedding is really cute and very similar to the AG bedding. The mattress may be thinner than the AG one, but really - is your doll going to have a bad back from a thinner mattress?

My daughter loves this bed. Her sister has the American Girl one and I saw this and she loves it just as much with not near as expensive. I recommed this item. I love all the My Generation products.

I got this bed for christams this year for my american girl dolls Kit and Mia. It is better than the curlicue daybed by american girl and certinally cheaper. the only thing is that the trundle bed doesnt have a blanket. So i bought a vallance for windows and cut it to make a blanket. Other than that i think this is an amazing product and definetly worth the money

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas for her American Girl doll. The cost is so much more reasonable than the AG price and it looks just like it. It has been perfect for her doll. We also purchased the bathtub which again is very similar to the AG but at a much cheaper price.

My daughter is a huge AG doll fan and for her birthday she wanted a certain daybed for her Just like me doll. Anyway that particular bed was double what this one cost. I was so exicted to find it at target as was my dd, who got to buy other things with her birthday money. Also, I was skepitcal that she would acutally play with it. But,
she puts her doll to bed everynight in it and plays with it throughout the day. She even makes it up, which is more than we can say for her own bed :)

I purchased this for my niece to go with her AG doll for Christmas. If it wasn't for the fact that I know where it was purchased I cannot tell that it is not an AG bed. The mattress and the cover that comes with it is a little thin but I am going to make another comforter to go with it for both beds. I can't wait to see my neices reaction when she opens it.

I purchased this doll bed for my middle daughter's American Girl. Now, all three of my girls fight over who gets to spend the night on the trundle bed! The bed seems quite durable as my youngest (3yrs) has actually tried it out. The bedding is adorable! Since purchasing it, we have even used scrap fabric to make sheets for the bed and trundle. My older daughter has a different style doll bed for her American Girl. Once she saw this one in the store, she wanted it too...

I am thinking about buying this for my daughter for her birthday. The price is fantastic as opposed to the AG bed, but I have not seen this bed in person. Can anyone tell me how thick the mattress is? I know the AG bed has a fairly thick mattress, but the prices are really high.

This is so cute and looks so much like the American Girl one, that my 10 year old daughter didn't know the difference. She has 2 AG dolls, so this was perfect - she sits them on it during the day and pulls out the trundle at night. The accessories are very cute and the bed's quality is just as good as American Girls. The matress are about 1 inch thick or so, so they don't seem flimsy. My daughters Great-Grandma made a small quilt for the second doll to sleep with for the trundle. My cousin's daughter has this also and she loves it too - they just made a small fleece tie-blanket for the trundle. All of my daughters friends can't believe she has the bed - none of them relize it's Our Generation and not American Girl! Highly recommend for any AG doll fan. We're giving her the matching vanity this year, I hope it's as good as the bed.
