Breaks too easily...legs are made too thin

My 7 year old got this toy as a birthday present. I told her about the reviews that I had read and to be very careful about leaning on it because it breaks easily. She was very careful and it was still broken within a few hours. The table is adorable, but the legs are way too thin and break very very easily. Once broken the only alternative is to replace the entire bottom of the table. There is no way to fix the legs..they are too thin to support the table to begin with. We are going to build a new bottom for the table. She was heart broken. Very cute to look at...as long as you don't try to play with it.

I must say that after reading the reviews, I decided to buy this anyway since my daughters are very much into AG dolls. This set has turned out to be a great buy. It is very sturdy and has not fallen apart as people have reported. I have knocked it over a few times with the vacuum and it is still very much intact. It is also nice quality for the price. I don't know if Target has revamped the make of it but it was a good buy. My daughters and their friends love it!

We bought one - it broke - took it back - got another one
- it broke! My 5 year old was crushed! So with a lot
of glue and some string to hold the legs together - we are
trying again. I think Target should give us all a refund
and let us keep the set for putting up with such junk!
Next step will be to build a new base! Great idea - better
price than American Girl - but BAAADDD design! Come on
Target - get it right! We expect more!

My 3 girls all love american girl dolls. In the past I've been very happy w/Our Generation products as well..until this one. My daughter got this for her birthday. Looked very cute & solid in the box. The legs sat uneven so it rocked..Broke while we were putting it together...glued it up which didn't hold at all. My poor daughter was very disappointed. I finally got rid of it & just gave her some birthday $ to replace it w/a new toy from the store. Surprised by the poor quality! Don't waste your time or $ on this product!

When we tried to put the table legs on they split. The notches were not cut out properly. First, we tried to sand down the slot to accomodate the legs. Then, it still required so much force that the leg split in two.
The Badger company bunk beds with armoir are great.

I looked at this set at my Target store before buying and I'm so glad I did - it's so cheap!! The chairs were coming apart in the box and the box was in great condition, it was just bad construction. It looks really cheap and there's no way it could stand up to a little girl playing with it.

I brought this for my 3 year old twins for their birthday 2 half a year ago and they love it. At first they loved having tea parties with it, then they made a mini cafe with it. I brought them like 2 more sets and now they have so much fun with their friends when they come over. I also brought it for my pre-school class. I guess the legs broke a little, but when you use alot of gorilla glue, it works like an angel!

My girls ages 4/7 are not rough with their toys. This table and chairs broke within the frist month. First a chair then the other chair then the table. At first they used them for thier BuildaBears then for AG. I wish i had my receipt so i could return it!!! At first when the first chair broke i thought it was my husband who didnt put it together correctly when the rest of the items broke i realized that was not the case!

Was apprehensive as the reviews were so bad, but was pleasantly surprised that the chairs were fully assembled with no wobbly parts. The table was fairly easy to assemble. Absolutely no complaints. My daughter has had it since Easter and it still looks great. Maybe this product has been improved.
