Set up in 5 minutes. Looks TERRIFIC in my kitchen nook area. Our home is asian themed and the lamp blended very well with our decor. Put a 60 watt bulb in and turned off kitchen lights and wow...and the price?? Going to buy another one today!

I purchased this lamp thinking it would work until I could afford to buy a nicer one. However, it is two years later and I still am using this lamp. I love it so much I even bought a second one! It gives my Asian themed bedroom enough light to read by easily and enough decorative ambiance to make a great statement. I especially love the on/off switch being on the cord so you do not have to mess with the body of the lamp. I find it amazing how all of my friend's always seem to comment on it and how confused they are when they find out the lamp cost under $20! Great Target buy!!!

When I first bought this lamp, I was pretty happy with it. Like other reviewers said, the lightbulb was a little harshly visible through the shade, but I liked it overall. Then one day it fell apart. The piece that holds the shade on isn't very sturdy to start with, but I was fine with it, until it fell off. It couldn't be reattached and I'd had it more than thirty days so I couldn't return it. It wound up up in the trash.

This is a nice-looking lamp, easy to assemble, but the shade doesn't provide enough "blur" to the light. I used a 75-watt bulb (100 is max) and the lamp cast harsh shadows even 10 feet across the room. Lovely idea but just didn't work out. I'll be returning it.

This floor lamp is wonderful. I now own two! It gives off soft,warm light and looks much more expensive than it costs. The lamp turns on by a convenient step-on switch near the base. I highly recommend this floor lamp.

I have had mine over a year now and have never had problems with it. Does what it should: light up a room. Yes, it is a bit fragile, as all paper lantern lights are, but no problems so far. i enjoy mine.

I picked one of these up yesterday after seeing them online. It took about 5 minutes to put together, and looks great! I'm going to go tomorrow and pick up another one. It really adds a nice look to any room. I put a 40 watt bulb in, and it provides nice soft lighting. Not sure how it looks with a higher watt.

We got this lamp as a wedding gift - I registered for it. It's just lovely. I found that I prefer using 40 watt bulbs or lower so the lamp has a mellow glow, as opposed to using the higher wattage bulbs that shine through. Since you're using so many bulbs at the same time, it makes more sense to use the lower wattage bulbs anyhow. In fact, the flourescent bulbs should be even better and more cost effective too... It lights our whole livingroom quite nicely - we simply love it.

The lamps (especially for the price) are nice, as far as the paper 'not blurring' I agree, but for 20$ (to me) it was not a problem. I say, if you are looking for this sort of lamp and don't want to spend more than 20$ go with these. But if you feel like a little splurge, target.com has others for a little more that are in my humble opinion just as stylish. Affordable just happens to be my favorite kind of home decor!
