The worst thing about this CD is some language and suggestive lyrics. But it's got wonderful music and some great voices (Gerard's voice is captivating!), And makes me ache for the movie. My favorite song is probably "down once more/track down this murderer." I suggest you buy this!

I absolutely love this CD. The movie was fabulous, but this CD comes very close! Anyway, each song has a distinct sound, each of them beautiful in its own way.
1. Overture- An excellent start to an excellent soundtrack. Loud, dramatic music makes this song stand out. It is a pretty amazing song. The orchestra is beautiful. The song, though there are no words in it, kind of prepares you for the movie. It is an introduction to this great movie.
2. Think of Me- A beautiful song. Simply gorgeous. When she hits that high note at the very end, it is so beautiful. She sings with a sweet, loving expression that makes you believe that she is actually talking to someone. I love the song, because after the harsh, dramatic sound of the first song, it is soothing and quiet and very peaceful. One of the most heavenly songs on the CD!
3&4. The Mirror (Angel of Music)This is a beautiful song, because it has a gorgeous duet between the sweet couple, Christine and The Phantom. It explains a lot about not only Christine, but the Phantom's personality as well. However, many people forget to mention the little, rather quiet voice. of Christine's good friend, who sings with her. Although Christine's friend sounds a little childish when singing, her voice slowly but surely becomes less childish, and even BEAUTIFUL. Very nice song.
5. The Phantom of the Opera- I LOVE THIS SONG! It adds a bit of "rock'n'roll" to this musical. It is the main song, in which the Phantom is leading Christine to his secret lair! Of course, Christine is frightened, but not to the point where she leaves his side. In fact, slowly but surely she is drawn to the Phantom. The song is beautiful, the main song of the whole CD. It is a very neat song, nicely arranged to appeal to people of any age group!
6. The Music of the Night- A beautiful song, where the Phantom desperately tries to lure Christine into loving him. He clearly displays his passion for her, and in the song, states that he hopes she returns his love for her. In his deep, rich voice, he softly and occasionally loudly declares his pure love for her. He also encourages her to drop her defenses and to trust him. In this song, the Phantom dramatically and beautifully says "I love you".
7.Prima Donna- Not one of the main songs, just a song that is trying to convince a that she is the most popular woman in the world. Yay.
8. All I ask of You- I personally don't like this song, because I feel bad for the Phantom, who is sadly listening to his true love declare love for another man. But, I must admit, the singing is beautiful.
9. All I ask of You (reprise)-The Phantom repeats Christine's sweetheart, Raoul's, words. He sadly wishes that Christine could love him like she loves her childhood sweetheart Raoul.
10. A song that takes place during a masquerde ball. Not that interesting.
11. Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again- A beautiful song, in which Christine grieves over her father while at his grave. She mournfully sings of her love for her deceased father. Her song is so real you almost cry with her. She sings it with such sad emotion. A fantastic song.
12. The Point of No Return- This is the song in which the Phantom sadly thinks that he has won Christine over. Unfortunately, she is just pretending to like him. Anyhow, this song is rather passionate. The Phantom thinks Christine is madly in love with him, and happily awaits for her to accept his offer of marriage. Unfortunately, Christine has been persuaded by her boyfriend to rip the Phantom's mask off in the middle of the song, much to the Phantom's embarrassment. In this song, the Phantom thinks this is the beginning of his beautiful relationship with Christine. Little does he know, that this relationship is drawing to an end. A passionate, seductive song.
13. Horrible song. People want ot kill the Phantom.
14. Learn to be Lonely- An Angelic song in which Minnie Driver sings about "learning to be Lonely". The song, I believe, is dedicated to the Phantom and all lonely souls. This song directly applies to the sad, lonely Phantom. A beautiful song.
Over all, this CD is a must have. I strongly recommend buying this CD! It will thrill, shock, delight and haunt you....all at once!
