I bought this phone in the summer (June/July 08). It came off as a really cool phone, and its unique because the phone dock is really only a charger and it has a place to put a smart chip in to get photos and music for the phone. I started using the phone and everything must be done by the base or the phone itself. Even getting the messages. So when a person leaves a message you go to it and you start listening, you go to delete that message but you are too slow and it deletes the next message. The reason, you have to open a list scroll down and then press delete. After all of this, the message is over, and I can't tell you how many important messages I've mistakenly deleted.

Next, the battery. Make sure to place this thing on the charger any chance you get, because the battery is basically done by 5 o'clock.

The space for the "smart key" or whatever from the phone, you can't just use your memory card from phone. Its a special piece that goes in the slot and I never had it so therefore, me trying to get my own music or pictures on the phone never happened.

Lastly, and the worst of all, the phone rings when it wants. Someone will call, it starts ringing, then it stops. It starts again like 2 seconds later and the recorder does not pick up. So we have potentially lost some important calls while not home. Lately, it has been fading out while we are talking.

All in all, for the price, this phone is bad and we are sending it back to Phillips. They were nice about it and they are refunding our money, that is the best thing we have gotten from the phone.
