Lasts all day!!! September 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Gloss Girl "Larrainium" (Arizona)  See all my reviews >

This eye liner is gel-based, crease-resitant, and it stays put all day. Furthermore, it goes on with ease. Included in the eyeliner set is a brush, but I use an angled eyeliner brush instead. In the past I've had experience with eye liners, that at the end of the day, I would have raccoon eyes. Not with this eyeliner. I know this is pricey for most, but I'm sticking with this brand. It's even water proof (got monsooned on at a football game). A plus, it has vitamin E (antioxidant and anti-aging benefit if you are into that). I've had this product for three weeks, but have had no problem so far with it drying out or getting flakey which is a complaint made by others of a similar product Smashbox makes. This product may not be for others, but it certainly is for me. LOVE IT!!!

Comparable to the expensive brands January 24, 2009 Reviewer:  Marchesa Ababa Real Name (Budd Lake, NJ USA)  See all my reviews >

I'm a big fan of the bobbi brown gel liner but it's a bit pricey. I'm not saying Pixi is weighing down your wallets with saving more bills, but it's definitely less expensive.

With that said, it's quality is comparable to bobbi brown gel liner. It doesn't run or smudge unless you completely intentionally rub it out. It looks like a liquid liner but not completely thin on your eye. There's also more control on how you put it on and how you'd like it to look, not like liquid liners that are hard to perfect. It's also better than pencil liners because those tend to run after a quick jog to the store or a quick cry in a movie. Pixi gel liner is great; after buying it, I put it to the test to see if it's worth keeping, so I applied it and took a long shower. Afterward, I realized that it still looked as it did after application.

The only problem I see in this product is really the brush, which is kind of dinky and more difficult than a professional brush.

Love it! August 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Bunny (AL)  See all my reviews >

I'm very picky with eyeliner. I don't like pencils because I have to constantly sharpen them, then the point breaks, or I can't get the line to be thin enough, etc. I previously used liquid eyeliner, but this has always been tricky for me as I am nearly blind in one of my eyes and I often end up making the line too thick in places.

I was skeptical about using a gel when I first saw this product in stores, but I love the Pixi line, so I figured I would just try it out.

It comes with a little hard-bristled brush for application purposes. I actually like this brush a lot because it won't slide around my skin and smudge everywhere like liquid liner brushes do. The texture of the liner is hard to describe. I wouldn't really consider it a "gel," but it's not exactly powdery and dry, but it's not a liquid either.

I use the tip of the brush to lightly collect some product on the bristles. Then I just carefully line my eyes, going across the lid and slightly downwards (to get the lashline covered). It went on very smoothly, did not tug at that delicate eyelid skin like some pencils do, and it lasts all day. You can also blend it with your finger to get a "smokey-eye" look.

I am really satisfied with this eyeliner and found it easy to apply. So if you hate using pencils and liquid eyeliners, this is definitely a product worthy of checking out.

Will never ever buy again June 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Karyn Stevens Real Name (Redding, CA)  See all my reviews >

I am so disappointed with this product. I have been using Bare Escentuals eyeliner combined with their Weather Everything and was really sick of having to mix my eyeliner fresh every day. I searched and searched for something that was navy and easier. I found this in sapphire and was so excited. I tried it on late at night with the eyeliner brush that came with it and really didn't like the brush (no big deal) so I used my MAC eyeliner brush and it went on fine. But it wouldn't come off the brush easily at all and it was waxy and gross. I thought, well, I'll just use it with the same brush again later, no biggie. Wrong. My brush was impossible to use for eyeliner the next day. So I used an oil based product to clean my brush. Not really fun but it worked, and no biggie for a great product right? Wrong. I had only worn it for a couple hours the night before. I wore it the following day and within 6 hours I had nasty smudgy messes around my eyes. I looked horrible. I tried it again another day, hoping it would work because I really wanted it to and the same thing: nasty. What a hassle and a waste. It is so hard to get off, but it smudges like crazy even when not being touched. I went from loving it to hating it in less than 48 hours.

LOVE THIS EYELINER! April 12, 2009 Reviewer:  Surely (Central Coast, CA)  See all my reviews >

This eyeliner is amazing! I've used pencil eyeliner forever rather than liquid because the effect of liquid is too intense for a natural every day look and it is too hard to apply smoothly and consistently with my shaky hands. But pencil always leaves smudges on my undereye or a line in the crease of my eyelid. This is the first gel eyeliner I've ever bought (though I've sampled quite a few at Sephora) and I found it easy to apply even with the dinky brush. I just used dabs and small strokes and it's been perfect every time, both on the lids and the waterline. The effect is dramatic like liquid, but not so intense. I don't know what color the previous commenter bought, but I bought onyx and it showed up as a very dark black on my skin. And it stays on all day without smudging. I even tested it by splashing water all over my face.

I don't think I'll ever go back to pencil after this. Even though it's quite pricey, a little goes a long way and the result is way worth it. My only concern is how fast the pot will dry out. I'll update this comment after a few months.

NOT comparable to the department store brands April 7, 2009 Reviewer:  5263 See all my reviews >

This liner is much waxier than the department store brand gel liner pots -- so much so that it is hard to apply, and looks lighter on the eye than in the pot.
