FUN AND EDUCATIONAL November 24, 2008 Reviewer:  momto3 (birmingham,al)  See all my reviews >

yes it's true that the castle occasionally comes apart but it is teaching my kids (3,4,6) patience... in addition to encouraging imaginative play. they used to get exasperated when it would split in half but now they just put it back together and keep playing. the clips that cause it to come apart are precisely what keep it from actually BREAKING - no part of this toy has broken after a year of play. right now, the kids have the knights lined up in and on the castle and they are fighting some pirates. this toy has been HOURS of fun as well as a tool for a few life lessons ;)

Fun castle but keeps coming apart January 6, 2008 Reviewer:  Momma Mills (Holt, MI)  See all my reviews >

My 4 year old son received this for Christmas 2 weeks ago. He really enjoys it and is playing with it daily. It is probably his favorite toy this year. It comes with a lot of small parts that we're trying to store in a baggie when not in use. The pieces are part of the attraction though, it has knives, swords, shields, fire balls and more.
My disappointment comes from the castle constantly coming apart, making it less than "take along". It also has two jail gates that are also falling off all of the time, requiring us to put it back together for him. The men that come with it have cool hats that can be taken off, but some of them aren't ment to come off (and how does a 4 yr. old know the difference) which results in their beards falling off too and having a hole in his head. All this means that Mommy and Daddy are called upon frequently during his play time. So far, this doesn't seem to deter him.
We also have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who is playing this with him and the small pieces haven't been an issue for her but I would be concerned in a home with children any smaller.

My sons LOVES this castle November 28, 2008 Reviewer:  MommyX2 (U.S.A.)  See all my reviews >

My 4 1/2 year old son absolutely loves this castle. The hinges do have a tendency to come off making the three sides of the castle that open and close come apart, but they snap right back together. We only had a problem with this at first because he was pretty rough with it. If a child throws the castle across a room, it will come apart, but my son has learned to be a lot more patient and careful with his toys. We have bought him alot of the extra pieces that go along with the castle. He even has the playmobil firefighter and police officer he has "fight" the knights. My son plays with this toy everyday, and absolutely loves it. Some of the pieces are small, and come apart, but are meant to. It reminds me of legos for a younger child. The pieces that come off are meant to come off and go back together, so I dont think its an issue of anything "breaking". I highly recommend this toy. My son loves this castle so much, he was even a knight for halloween, and all he wants for christmas is more knight stuff.

Not well made January 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Mother of two "Amy E" (CA)  See all my reviews >

My son received this toy as a gift. He was so excited to play with it at first, but then became very frusterated that it kept falling apart. The jail doors come off really easy. Even I had a difficult time trying to open the door without it falling off. Also, the castle itself did not stay on its hinges very well. This toy is very poorly constructed. Too bad, it was a good idea to have a take along castle.

My children ( 4, 7 and 8)love playmobil toys and play with this castle for hours. They use their imaginations and have many battles. We never had a problem with is coming apart.

Break-along castle November 10, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom of 4 "Suzanne J" (Russellville, AR, USA)  See all my reviews >

We quickly changed the name of this castle to the Break-along castle because it fell apart everytime it was touched. We threw it away after less than a week because so many pieces were lost. It was useless.

Great!! August 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Mom to 2 (Columbus, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

My son just got this for his birthday and he loves it! It has lots of features - drawbridge, secret door, gates, etc. and the knights. He has had a great time playing with it. I want to play with it! I think you'd have to realize that as a "take along" set it's not as big or solid as a full size set, but those will cost much more money! This is a good set for my 4 year old son to try out to see if we want to invest more $ in the future.

So disappointed.... November 18, 2008 Reviewer:  Rachel Oliver Real Name See all my reviews >

This thing has never stayed together. We actually still have it around because my 3 year old will set the pieces side by side and play with it, but none of the original parts are still with us. We have enjoyed other Playmobil products, but this one was so disappointing. Don't buy it!
