Love these bottles February 17, 2009 Reviewer:  NY Mom See all my reviews >

I was so excited when Playtex announced a BPA-free version of the only bottles we've ever used right before our third child was born. We've never had a leaking issue like other reviewers and our Crystal Clear markings haven't worn off, while the plain bpa-free bottles' markings have.

Markings wear off February 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Brayden's Mom (MN)  See all my reviews >

We've used these bottles for a while now. We like the style and they have worked well for reducing air for our son. But the ounce markings/numbers have all worn off in only a few months. We do put them in the dishwasher once in a while - otherwise, they are hand-washed in warm soapy water. We've used a permanent marker to mark the ounce that we are using and even this has worn off. This has been somewhat frustrating for us but we are almost done using bottles all together so we don't plan on buying new ones - but I will throw these out and not buy them again for a second baby.

Defective Bottles September 26, 2009 Reviewer:  R. Wilson "New Mommy" Real Name (Colorado)  See all my reviews >

I saw numerous reviews complaining about the numbers rubbing off on the Playtex bottles. The same happened to mine but I called the Playtex 1-800 number found online and complained. They were VERY nice about it and quickly sent me coupons for $7.99 to replace every bottle that was defective. I hope this info helps some of you!

Use only the Crystal Clear! August 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Mommy of twins (Ontario, CA)  See all my reviews >

These should have a 5 star, I am a mom of twins and have bought absolutely every bottle on the market b/c I have had so many feeding issues with both babies. These are the only bottles that worked for both of them. The numbers rub off on the pastel version NOT the crystal clear. I have both versions and the people who have the crystal clear ones have all said the numbers dont rub off...trust me I have but these bottles through some washings!! As far as leaks go I have had a few leaks but all I do is take off the bottom and re-screw it on (make sure platic piece "Snaps" when you put it on) worked for me every tme.

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND September 6, 2009 Reviewer:  Thrilled Mom "Sherry K" (Illinois)  See all my reviews >

Since birth (he’s 1 month old at time of this review) my son was spitting up from every bottle we tried, the flow was either way too fast or he was getting too much air in his stomach. I tried 6 or 7 different bottles before finally listening to a friend and giving the Vent Aire bottles a chance. Thankfully we found something that worked for our son, we couldn’t be happier. It’s a little work to clean, as the bottom has to be removed as well as nipple and ring. But to see our son keeping his formula down is a blessing. I haven’t had these bottles long enough to see the markings wear off; I have both the pastels and crystal clear.

Would not recommend July 22, 2009 Reviewer:  New mom "new mom" (Chicopee,MA)  See all my reviews >

We bought the non crystal clear kind but I think its about the same. My husband chose Vent Aire because it was supposed to help with our son's spitting up which we thought was caused by gas. He's been using the bottles regularly until just a few weeks ago when we switched back to the Avent because the bottles just started leaking from the bottom non stop. Up until then it only leaked every so often. I tried cleaning the base and disk really well but that didn't help either.

So it turns out that my son who is now 5 months old wasn't spitting up a ton because of gas. I think his digestive system was just working out kinks because he spits up less now with both bottles. So I can't really comment effectively on whether the bottle helps with gas.

I thought the angle of the bottle was comfortable to hold, but this would not be my first choice to try if I had to pick a bottle for the first time again for my son because a) the markings washed off after only <10 washes (we hand washed them) b) they started leaking from the bottom after 1 month of use and eventually leaked every time we used them c)a real hassle to clean
