Decent piece, near impossible construction

The instructions to putting this piece together are horrible and extremely frusterating. There are only a couple of pictures and even less words that describe how to piece together all of the pieces of wood and various screws. I am fairly handy and it took me over two hours. However, once the piece was completed I was happy with it. The drawers seem to slide easily in and out and the nightstand top is large enough to fit a ton of stuff without being an overly intrusive piece.

Took me close to 2 hours to complete it but it looks nice. The back seems a bit cheap but seems to be typical for most furniture in this price range.

I was so excited to have this piece arrive. I thought it would take me about an hour to build both, boy was I wrong. Usually I have no problem following directions and assembling furniture but this took me three hours just to put together one end table. The package was missing one sheet of directions and several screws. The black vinyl coating was peeling off when it arrived as well. It looks like black paint in the picture but it's really a cheap plastic coating. Save yourself the trouble, DON'T BUY THIS!

This is a great looking piece of furniture for the price. The only drawback is that took 1 hour to put together! It was worth the effort however as it goes perfectly with the Ebony bed I just purchased. If you are purchasing this item you must have the patience to assemble it but, at this price it's not a big deal.

I have the ENTIRE set of prepac furniture for this set. I purchased the Bookshelf headboard, platform bed, 2 nightstands, 6 drawer long dresser and the 5 drawer high dresser. I have owed these pieces for a little over a year now.
This nightstand was fairly easy to put together. The size is great and I love the extra shelf that most nightstands do not have. I am very pleased that I decided to get the one with the shelf instead of the one without it. Be careful to measure though, the platform bed with drawers will not open unless you put the nightstand a foot or so away. So make sure you add that into your measuring if you plan to buy the bed and nightstands. The stand being so far away makes it annoying to hit the snooze in the morning.
I would definitely recommend anyone to buy this nightstand.

I was hesitant to buy this furniture because of so many bad reviews but I really liked it and decided mine was gonna work out. I bought the nightstand, 5 drawer (tall) dresser and lingerie chest. My dad and I assembled the nightstand yesterday and it did take 1.5 hours but it was totally worth it. It's sturdy and looks very nice. It was bigger than I had anticipated so take those measurements seriously. Advice: While putting it together-take care not to scratch or bump it because ANYTHING that is black will show marks easy. (Thats not the manufacturers fault-that's just what you deal with, with black things.) Would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this/buy again. You'll see my other reviews for the other pieces once we get them done. Until then...:D

It took a bit of time to put together but it all went VERY smoothly and looks great. I haven't used the piece in the room yet (which is why I only gave it 4 stars- always time to disappoint) but so long as the bottom of the drawers don't crash, it's worth every penny!

I ordered two of these. The first one went together and looks great. The second one went together OK except that I'm missing two panels for the left sides of the drawer assemblies. I e-mailed Prepac and am waiting for the parts now.
