Not that difficult to install April 13, 2006 Reviewer:  Satisfied Customer "Chris" (Orange, CA)  See all my reviews >

After researching about this product throughout the internet, it seems a lot of people have similar problems with the installation. This product also goes by the brand Prepac too as well. So I was very hestitant in getting this TV cabinet. But I finally purchased it anyways because I got a small room (10ft X 11ft) and need all the space I can get. Contrary to alot of reviews, installation wasnt that difficult. It took me less than 45 minutes. Less than that if you have another person helping you. I did most of the installation by myself except the cabinet doors part. I needed my brother help to hold the cabinet doors so I can easily screw it to the cabinet. My advice would be to count all the items before installation. You should be doing that for any installation anyways. Make sure you got all the parts. Briefly go over the instruction diagram. I believe most of the instructions are more picture diagrams than words. The only mistake I made was mixing up the middle and bottom shelves. But that was my mistake for not looking at it closely. There are 3 shelves in the installation and they are all different. Using a cordless driver will speed up the installation tremedously. As far as quality is concern, I would rate it an OK for the price although the cabinet does look very attractive. I am using a Toshiba 30" widescreen tube TV (weighs about 130lbs or so.) and it does fit nicely on the cabinet. I like the height of the cabinet because I have a deep mattress (15" plus the spring box). So the tall height is perfect for bedroom setup. For the size, I dont think you can find anything higher. This was the main reason why I decide to purchase this cabinet although I was hestitant to buy at first based on the installation reviews I read on the internet. Lastly, go to Homedepot and get those plastic adhesive where you put it underneath your TV so that you wont scratch the cabinet top and you can also adjust your TV around easily without scratching the cabinet top. Forgot what's it call but it will help your cabinet TREMEDOUSLY.

great value - great piece! January 6, 2006 Reviewer:  micheLe "msw183" (Phila, PA, USA)  See all my reviews >

this tv stand is everything i was hoping for! contrary to the other reviews, it was EXTREMELY easy to assemble [as long as you know how to work a screw driver and hammer] - only taking me about 45 minutes and looks totally classy. i would recommend the entire black sonoma collection to everybody!

Pass on this TV Stand - Not worth the price! February 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Danielle M. Phillips Real Name See all my reviews >

I purchased this stand a couple of years ago and initially when I first put it together, it was wobbly and I was too lazy to take it back. I loved the design of it and that too made me decide to keep it. But over time it has worn and like another reviewer the cabinet doors where off center in the beginning and I was never able to center them. The black color chips off as well. Now one of the cabinet doors is falling off. Long story short, I am shopping for a new one.

Great Buy April 9, 2006 Reviewer:  Happy Customer "Michelle W" (Maryland, USA)  See all my reviews >

This is a great buy. I was really skeptical after reading some of the other reviews but I had no problems at all. Table was put together without a hitch. Looks great!!!

Poor quality for price November 13, 2005 Reviewer:  Paulette C. See all my reviews >

Not only is this item difficult to assemble, but once assembled the doors do not match up, leaving a gap in the center. The item had several chips in it and the backing was peeling off. One of the pieces did not have the holes drilled in it so the company had to send me another piece. Think twice befor buying this unit. I was not at all satisfied.

Lousy Stand September 12, 2005 Reviewer:  Sarah See all my reviews >

Do not order this stand if you are not willing to take 2.5 hours and assemble the product. Like the other reviewers noted, the pieces come chipped, and the assembly directions are poorly written. If I had known I had to assemble the doors on the cabinet, I would not have ordered it. The doors were impossible to line up with each other and did not create an "even" look. When they close, there is a gap between the doors, in which you can see right through to the cheap backing.
Some of you may be thinking it was human error that caused troubles during assembly, but let me assure you I have assembled many pieces of furniture, including office desks, that have not caused as much headache as this "simple looking" cabinet.
I've order 4 furniture pieces from Target.com and have been very satisfied with quality/ price/ use of ease - assembly, but this is certainly not one of them. Beware!
