Very satisfied

Reviewer:  Happy Nannie  (Tennesee)  See all my reviews

I bought this for my Grand-daughter and it was exactly what we have been looking for, I had read about one similar to this one that was very popular in England. I would have ordered that one , but My granddaughter had this one listed on her registry!!! I ordered it, had it sent to her state and she is thrilled with it! She also said it was the cutest thing and could set on the counter. I can see her & little Layla really enjoying using this.

DON'T CONFUSE THIS FOR A BUCKET!!!

Reviewer:  mhurst  (Seattle)  See all my reviews

This is NOT a bucket. Standard buckets have dangerous handles, and can be made of toxic materials that can harm baby. They also don't have any addition support to not fall over. Don't risk your baby's life to save some cash! If you aren't happy about the design of this, try something else. I find it to be a real comfort to little babies, and much easier than sponge bathing.

best baby tub ever

Reviewer:  Baby PUNKINS Mommy "Baby P mom"  (Santa Barbara, CA)  See all my reviews

My daughter is 6 months old and I just started putting her in a different tub. we started using this at about 5 weeks and she just loved being in her washpos she was so happy. the other tub we had she screamed and as soon as we tryed this bathtime was a happy time. I am just so sorry she has grown out of this. The last month she has insisted on standing in her pod and having me wash her. GREAT PRODUCT one of my favorties for the new baby maybe my very favorite. you must try this product. Will calm a fussy baby no prob. but when you take baby out she might be mad:) was not like a bucket what so ever it was nice. barely any water needs to be filled in here only a couple inches max. womblike so they feel like they did in mommys tummy.

Nice and warm, but a little awkward.

Reviewer:  LJ's Mom "LJ's Mom"  (MT)  See all my reviews

My son loves this tub because it keeps him warm by submerging the majority of his body. He has yet to cry in this puppy. Bath time is always fun. It was pretty easy to handle him the first couple of months, but now that he's a little more active, it's kind of awkward. I'm not giving up on it yet though. It's definitely a glorified bucket, but worth the money for the design and padding in the bottom. If you don't have the money, a nice big clean bucket with a towel in the bottom would do.

Horrible waste of money!

Reviewer:  Luv2Shop  (San Jose, CA)  See all my reviews

I really wanted to like this because it looks so neat and different and because I read the good reviews. I was never really able to use it because I needed both hands to hold my baby and a third hand to bathe her. One time she went forward and hit her head. It was very awkward and uncomfortable for me and painful for the baby! I wish I could return it and get my money back.

Not for the closed minded

Reviewer:  grnmomma  (VA)  See all my reviews

[...] This product is excellent for colicky babies and just general bathing. Imagine if the only bath you were allowed to take was laying naked while someone sponges you off with lukewarm water. Doesn't sound fun to me.

Great Product!

Reviewer:  Newbie  (Minneapolis, MN)  See all my reviews

I had a hard time with the traditional bath tubs so I spent the first 1.5 months giving sponge baths only until I found this wash pod and thought I would give it a try. My son loves it and so do I! This also is helping him learn to stand as well. I usually will put a towel around the rim on the back behind his head but that's probably for my piece of mind only in case his head were to wobble back (thus the 4 stars in stead of 5). I love it and would recommend this.

Finally, bath time isn't an experience to dread

Reviewer:  Grateful Mom "Becky C."  (Austin, TX)  See all my reviews

I love this bathtub. My newborn son hated the traditional type of baby tub and frankly, so did I. It was hard to hold him in the proper position and he would get cold quickly, which would make him scream and struggle.

This bathtub makes all the difference. It's design is womb-like, which makes my baby automatically seat himself in the fetal position. He stays much warmer, too, because he is totally submerged up to his chest in warm water.

Some have compared this design to that of a regular bucket, but there are several important distinctions. First and foremost, it cannot tip over like a regular bucket. Second, there's a molded cushion at the bottom that makes it comfortable for baby and promotes a fetal sitting position.

One thing I would suggest is that you wear a rubber glove on one hand while you bathe your baby in this tub. Getting baby out of the tub requires that you lift him straight up, which is much easier to do with a firm grip.

Overall, this product has been a lifesaver! We actually look forward to bath time now.

Perfect for a newborn

Reviewer:  Amy's mom "Phoebe H."  (Las Vegas, NV)  See all my reviews

I absolutely disagree with the previous reviewer.

Its much safer than a regular bucket (the handle of a regular bucket is dangerous for your baby) and babies love this.

You don't need as much water, and the water stays warmer for a longer time.
The baby curls up to a fetal position just like in the womb, and is much more comfortable than in a big tub (even the ones with a sling)

Great if your baby is colicky, and/or cries a lot, the warm water and inclined position will calm him/her, it really worked for my friends baby, he cried more than 10 hours a day at worst! (some dumb old lady in a restaurant gave her allergic 2 month old baby whipped cream, the tub really helped relieve the pain)
