I really like this pitcher. I can use loose leaf tea, which is less expensive, and the leaves do not go into the liquid part. I was also a bit worried about the hot water cracking the plastic, but this has not happened. it works really easily: throw the tea in the perforated slider, pour in half way full with hot water, steep for asbout five minutes. Remove the perforated part (if you want) and add ice or cold water to the top.
