We've used it several times a day, every day for over the last year and it's still goin' strong! Mine is one generation older than this specific one, but it's pretty much the same kettle. Within about 1-2 minutes, it heats to just a near-boil then shuts off. Perfect for coffee -this is what we use it for constantly-, tea, cocoa and instant soups. The only drawback is that it's a just a little noisy when it's heating, but it's over quickly and beats hearing a kettle whistle! Plus, it's always possible that this model - a year later - doesn't make the water-super-heating sound. Regardless, I LOVE it! [...]
