i kept sitting on the fence about this and finally made the purchase...so glad i did...i can't tell you how many really nice summer evenings we are having around this firepit...it is holding up very well...friends are even borrowing it for their parties so it transports well too.. we fill it with a bag or two of sand and then build a fire..if the sand gets wet after exposure to the elements - simply empty the pit and start all over...it's a natural mosquito deterrant at night...feels like we're camping...
