We bought this gate when we got our shepard/husky mix puppy. It worked great to keep her out of the areas we didn't want her in. It is kind of on the short side and eventually she figured out that she could jump over it. But luckily by then she was house broken and out of the destructive stage. Now we have a baby on the way, and we will be using it for him as well.
