Description
The fourth installment in this series has Seb Fontaine trying to accumulate more of a cosmopolitan collection of house and progressive tracks rather than a sure-fire cash-in of huge Ibiza tunes. Hence a refreshing absence of the obligatory BT or Space Brothers track and a more focused needle-coursing over crystalline tech, hard house, and trance. After a few spins, though, you start to wonder if there's a fine line between being abstract and tedious. Different, detached -- hallmarks by Stylus Trouble's foolish "Sputnik" and Brothers in Rhythm's flattening out of Placebo's "Passive Aggressive" tweak heads right where they should -- but this is a large, albeit difficult, underscore for the entire Global Underground audience. Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
