I bought these rollers for travel, but now I use them at home, too. They've replaced my larger set. They heat up fast, and are the perfect size and number of them to curl my long, thick hair (I mean really thick, but not course). Best investment as far as curlers go, and pretty cheap..I highly recommend them!

So everytime I curl my hair with a curling iron they fall, i figured I would try Hot Curlers. I knew I wanted some but, was unsure which were good so I came on here to read reveiws...on every hot curler type there are negative and positive even the expensive ones so I thought I would try the cheapest 1st and if I did not like them I would return them and try another...I also wanted to buy some that are easy for travel and it seems all the expensive ones dont fit well for travel per reviews..I bought these last night and tried them for work this morning...I let them heating up while I dried my wet hair..I would say 4-5 mins...I left them on for 14-20 mins while getting ready and it is now 11:45am and I can not believe my curls are still holding up VERY WELL. This is the 1st time this has every happened....THEY WORK FOR ME VERY WELL easy to use and they stayed I HIGHLY RECCOMMED THEM plus the PRICE YOU CAN NOT BEAT...and they TRAVEL how awesome is that...EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR..

I wasn't ready to buy a more expensive set of rollers, so I decided to try this inexpensive set. They work very well. I used them just last weekend for a wedding I was in and my curls lasted all day, even through the wind in outdoor pictures!

I've been a hairstylist for fashion and beauty shoots for over 15 years. These are FAB! They heat up super fast and dual voltage so when I am traveling I can use them in Asia too. They do not dry out the hair and give any hair type that I've worked on from fine, limp blonde hair to think straight asian hair great shine, volume and texture.
Plus the price is a steal! These work better then my professional rollers I bought.

I am now buying these after using a friend's while on a trip. They are conveniently compact for travel, yet I was able to set my mid-length hair completely with the 10 Rollers supplied. They do heat up very quickly.
I plan on using these for everyday instead of my large set which is bulky and harder to use. You can set this one up in the smallest space and put it away quickly. Can't wait to get mine!

My hair constantly frizzes. I went looking for a dryer stand so that I could use both hands to style and avoid frizz. What I found instead were these rollers. They got hot quickly and put wave in my hair within a few minutes. They also de-frizz the hair. It looks smooth and shiny. They also add body.

Hate These Rollers

These rollers do not grip hair well. The edges of the rollers need better gripping spikes. What they have are so short they are useless. Barring that, better clamps would be a second-best solution.
On top of that, it is very hard to hold these rollers without getting burned. In addition, there are not enough rollers in the set to roll all of my daughter's hair at once. If you have a lot of hair, or fine hair, these are not the right rollers for you.

So compact, and so functional. Heats fast, handles well without burning your fingers. It curls really well and the curls last all day. If you want just a little curl, don't leave them in for more than 5 minutes. I saved the clips from my old set because sometimes it helps to have extras. If your hair is very thick or long, you may need rollers larger than these.

I loved this item, it heats up fast, so when you have a kid and your getting ready for work.. fast is key.
It gave me a long lasting curl, and my hair doesn't curl. No matter what I used in the past it would only stay for around 10 minuets. This product kept the frizz free curls in my hair all day!

I used these years ago and gave them away when I cut my hair short. After I started literally dreaming of having long hair again, the first thing I discovered I needed was rollers. Off to Target for the travel set!
I have fine but thick hair. It is "wrinkly" (not quite wavy but not quite straight) but takes curl well. It dries fast and gets frizzy easily. Austin isn't Houston-humid, but it can be in the summers. Because most product causes hives on my scalp, I have to rely upon my styling tools to give me any body -- something I desperately need most days!
These rollers do a great job of taking the frizz out. If I quickly blow-dry my hair, not doing a whole lot of brushing, often just using my fingers, the curlers give it a really smooth look. The case is wonderful for travel and I rarely have the clips fall out in my suitcase. They are usually in the bottom of the suitcase and have held up well through many airline and train trips. I have lost a few clips at home, though! Replacements are available but only come in a whole set.
Because my hair is fine, it doesn't stay on the roller well. I remembered recently that I also had Conair jumbo rollers way back when and I used to steal the clips from those to use with these. When staying with a friend last month, I borrowed some of her jumbo roller clips and confirmed that these stay much much better with that hack.
Other things to know about these rollers:
- Hair tends to slide over the ends of the roller and there's nothing there to prevent it. Not a deal-breaker for me but something to know.
- The ends of the rollers get very hot along the bottom. I have a scar on the back of one ear from a nasty burn from the prongs. I don't know why they aren't better concealed. If I feel any heat, I now use a trick from Steel Magnolias: kleenex between the roller and my ear.
- They are not terribly big. The green are 3/4" and the red at 1-1/4" in diameter. For me, that makes my curls awfully small. I don't leave them in very long but am likely to switch to the jumbo Conairs for daily styling and keep these for "curly" occasions.
- They do take a bit to cool down. Don't use them and expect to pack them 5 minutes later. I melted a plastic bag that way. And through other layers of fabric, no less. I timed it and now give myself 20 minutes minimum before putting these away, whether cabinet or suitcase.
