LOVE IT!! April 15, 2007 Reviewer:  Rhonda (Akron, OH)  See all my reviews >

My husband bought this for me several years ago. The whistle is nice and loud and it heats up quickly. I think it's a great tea kettle and I would definately recommend it. The only downside is that it does spot easliy, but I just clean it with steel wool and it shines again!

Quality February 6, 2007 Reviewer:  Jenny "Jen" (Chicago, IL United States)  See all my reviews >

Compared with all other tea kettles I've tried this one definitely wins for quality. I am still using a Paul Revere Tea Kettle that my mom got as a wedding gift. Only about 2 years ago did the whistle on it finally break and that was only because we dropped it and the plastic spout cover cracked. But nothing has ever melted or flaked off like a lot of the kitchenaid and copco models.

After nearly 30 years, it's about time for me to get a new one. I hope they are made as well as they used to be.

I will say, however, that it is a task to keep clean. But a little polish once every few months should do it.

okay for a while July 18, 2006 Reviewer:  S.S. "S.S. in Pacific" See all my reviews >

This kettle makes a dramatic impression at first and then after a few months looks like it belongs with the camp gear. Hard to clean and stains. It is with the camp gear now. Whistles good though.

Not your mother's Revereware April 16, 2009 Reviewer:  D Lynne "Environmentalist" (Wildwood, MO)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this believing I was getting true Revere Ware like I got for a wedding gift years ago. Revere Ware was bought out by another company who retained the rights to use Revered. This is not the heavy duty Revere WAre of the past. It's not bad, but if you think you're getting (or reviewing) the same thing you got more than a couple years ago, beware, because you are not.

Handle burns your hand September 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Silent Strength (Florida)  See all my reviews >

We were very disappointed in this kettle. We loved the design but D. Lynne in MO is right - this is not your mother's Revere Ware. It is not heavy duty and the materials are poor. The plastic handle got so hot that we had to use a pot holder to pick it up. What good is a tea kettle's handle if you burn your hand on it when you lift it off the stove? A friend recommended an OXO with a rubberized handle and pour spout that opens automatically. We are going to try that but if we had more counter space, I'd buy a Chef's Choice cordless electric kettle as I have several friends with one of those and they are wonderful.
