Product is resin treated, unsafe for baby September 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Seattle Mom See all my reviews >

Upon receiving the sheet savers, I saw the large tag on the underside that says fiber batting is resin treated. After some initial research online, I found that many resins used to bond the materials can contain formaldyhyde which we definitely don't want in the material closest to our baby as they sleep. So I put some calls into Crown Craft, the manufacturer. Their customer service was a bit frustrating in turnaround but finally the VP of Quality Control spoke with me and said he wasn't really sure what was in the resin only that he thought since another store runs test on their products that it didn't have formaldyhyde. So up to the buyer if they are okay not knowing, I think any maker of baby bedding should be in the full know of any chemicals in their products, especially if that chemical could be formaldyhyde. I am returning the product.
