Don't get discouraged if you can't get this in a hour or 2. It's great!

I had been waiting for my Razor Pro Model Kick Scooter to ship in and was looking at some other Razor Products, I saw Electric Kick Scooters, Electric Chair Scooters, Power Wings, and then Wait! Rip Stik? I had seen these before yet thought they might be unstable, but Razor is a pretty reliable company, so I headed out to my local Target Store to get one and there it was, i made sure that it was stable and headed off to the Cashier...

Later when I got home I headed to my basket ball court (Half Court) and started trying, I got the mounting easy but, I just couldn't get it! I went inside watched the DVD which helped me a tad and then went back outside... After 2 hours I still could not ride. I decided to give it one last chance, and I went to my Side Walk, I got IT! You really need a long stretch of space to ride this, I reccomend a sidewalk because if you feel unstable you can run into the grass and easily dismount!

Overall: Ingenious product great for people who have gone Razor all the way but are only familiar with Scooters not Skate Boards. Does take a while to master but with the right area and surface and after the DVD you can ride it.

P.S.: If you still can't get it try putting your feet close to the area where it twists, not on the bar, but about an inch from it, this will increase speed which will increase stablity.

the ripstick is the best thing ever!!!! the reason i gave it 4 stars is because the silver for the ripstick name fades and the plastic it brecks off!!!! but i still love it. if you do down a hill thou make sure its not wicked slanted if you just are a begginer or if it is slanted and the bottem is a cirsle and has a fence and has wet leaves happened to me oonce but it is so fun!!! get the ripsstck if your smart!!!!!

the ripstick is so fun at first it is so hard but when you
get it it is so FUN!!!! and you only have to push off one

OMG!!! If you don`t have a ripstick you so have to get one! even if you don`t know how to ride one! My brother got one and i ride so much he made me go buy one of my own! ofcourse i had to get one in pink!!! so girly just like me!

This is the best toy you will ever buy!!. It is so much fun but it took me about a month to get really good on it. Once I got it down, I love it and ride it all of the time. If I could give it more then 5 stars, I would give it 20 million! It is so much fun and I have not hurt my self on it yet either.

I am 8 years old and my grandmother purchased a red Ripstik for me. At first, you will need someone to help with your balance but after that you can skate like a pro in a day if you practice all day. You may want to watch the DVD video. If you just finished watching the video don't do any of the tricks they do if you are a beginner. Written to help beginning skaters.

My brother got one of these and I tried it out. As soon as I learned to ride I wanted one. I got this one, and it has been the most fun thing ever. A real good work out too! It takes you awhile to get good on it though, and the only thing I don't like about it is that theres no brakes or any way to stop if you go flying down a hill.

ya, crashing is gonna happen but as long as you dont ride stupid, it wont hurt that bad. Its a great toy but you have to keep comfortable. I did that and the worst thing ive ever done is scrape my knee. i could barely tell the next morning. It is great and i highly recommend it. just dont give up and stay comfortable, not stupid!!!
p.s. hills are a menace!! try to avoid huge ones! =)

This ripstik is a great toy that gives you a diffrent kind of fun. You can pull off tight turns and awesome tricks once you practice enough. This board got me off the couch and outside. I think the ripstik is great for people who love to surf, snowboard, or have fun. A ripstik might seem too expensive but they can really be addicting and great.

My mother-in-law bought this for my stepson and he loves it. It was hard at first but he got the hang of it!! If you go down a little hill, it is so much fun!! He spends hours on this, which means more outside time, which I like! Highly reccomended!!
