wonderful seat

I bought this chair for my daughter when she was 5 months old because feeding her in the bouncy or car seat wasn't working anymore. So far i love it and have had no problems with it. She is now one and still fits in it great and loves being able to sit with everyone at the table. I have ran the tray through the dishwasher several times and have never had a problem even with it on sani rinse, heated dry and being on the bottom rack. I am currently pregnant with number 2 and will be getting another one for this one also it works great.

waste of money

I liked the shape of these. Thought that it would be nice to have 2 for both of my kids. I don't feel safe putting either of my kids in them. The tray is a joke... I can't even fit a bowl on it, and I can't close it with my petite 9 month old in it. The straps slide so you can tighten them but they loosen with the slightest movement from the kids. I actually decided to write a review when I got online to look for new ones! Don't buy this unless you don't plan on using the straps around their waist or the tray. We also had to knot the straps together that hold the seat to the chair because they slipped too.

Dangerous Seat

Reviewer:  MommyOf4_94804  (Richmond, Ca.)  See all my reviews

I bought this for my son a couple months ago and have had problems since day one. I was unable to tighten the straps all the way so I called Safety 1st and they quickly sent me a new set of straps, which didn't work well either. Last night as we were eating dinner my son leaned forward and the straps gave way sending my son head first onto the kitchen floor. Thank God I was sitting right there and was able to grab him before he hit.

Do NOT buy!!!!

this is the best booster seat. i have taken this out to eat with us and everything. it even works great in booths at restaurants. it has a no slip grip on the bottom so it wont move even without it being strapped. my son loves it.

Great Chair!

Reviewer:  Proud mommy!  See all my reviews

I have 2 small children so I have 2 of these chairs. They are very inexpensive and work great! They are easy to use and they ARE dishwasher safe. I see that one of these reviews says it isnt but it IS. I wash them in the dishwasher all the time and never have a problem. The only complaint I have is that my daughter takes the back rest off (it pops off if you pull on it) but its not really needed anyway. Overall I love their chairs and use them all the time!

This is great!

I bought this chair for traveling btwn 2 houses (before we move) and I love this chair!! I have a lgr. 6 month old and he fits in the seat very nicely. He likes that he can sit w/ the rest of us @ the table. I have not had any problems w/ him being able to pop off the tray, the back rest or tear out the seatbelts. The chair is also very stable. Plus it's a space saver! I wish I had another one instead of the traditional free standing one we have now that takes up a lot of space! Dishwasher safe? I don't know never tried. I've been using soap & water to clean the tray & finish off w/ a lysol wipe btwn uses. Works for me. Though not everyone wants to have to do "dishes" by hand anymore. Hey it's inexpensive people what do ya expect? I like it and give it 5 stars.

Misrepresented, awkward, annoying

Reviewer:  A. Lyon  See all my reviews

What a massive disappointment. The trays are NOT dishwasher safe, as the website and box claim -- they are rinse-cycle safe only. What good could that possibly do? It is dishwasher safe, you just can't WASH it in the dishwasher??? The product is flimsy, seems like it would break easily, and is difficult to assemble (I bruised three fingers snapping in the tray.) It is uncomfortable for the child. Its supposed portabilility leaves much to be desired. It requires you to remove the white tray and store another way while you carry the rest of the unit. Even folded, it is about as bulky as any non-folding seat. In short, if your worst enemy has a baby shower, buy her this product. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. A phone book would seriously be better.

Not Safe!

Reviewer:  2 toddlers  (FL)  See all my reviews

We have 2 of these for our daughter and son. Tray comes off too easily, and the part that keeps tray attached broke off on one. Backs pop off with little effort. And worst of all, the straps come out of the seat back very easily. Our daughter leaned forward and Fell out of her chair! Our son leaned over the side, the opposite strap came out of the seat sending our son and the entire chair to the ground! We have sent the seats back to the company. They are being great about this, but are only able to send us new seats of the same model. I wish we had spent the extra $ and gotten better seats from the start.

Worked for a year

Reviewer:  Megan M  (Florida)  See all my reviews

We bought this seat right after our daughter turned 1 so we could pull her up to the kitchen table (we have never used the tray). It worked well for just over a year -- I liked it, easy to clean, etc. However, as she has gotten older and stronger, she recently broke it while upset with us at the dinner table. Her rocking back and forth while screaming at us was too much for the chair and she actually broke off the back of the seat from where it attaches to the bottom. We thought she just popped the pieces apart, but no, it is actually broken and we need to replace the seat. Luckily it is cheap and easy to replace, but wanted to let other parents know this could happen.

Ok, but not that great.

Reviewer:  Sandra C  (California)  See all my reviews

I bought this chair about 6 months ago when my daughter started solid food. We have only ever used this seat, we never bothered with a highchair and that has been fine with us. Up until now it has been perfectly functional.

However, I am very disappointed, as even though I have a VERY tiny 1 year old, the tray is getting too tight for her. My neighbour has another kind of chair that her very big 2 year old still eats in, this chair will not make it 3 months with my smaller than typical child. I am frustrated because now I have to buy another chair as she is not ready to sit at the regular table without the tray yet unless I want scratches all over it.

I suppose this chair would be okay if you just need a booster without the tray, but frankly you can buy those and they're cheaper.
