The item arrived much earlier than expected and looks very much like the illustration. Although it appeared sufficiently protected for shipping, there were two broken pieces. We followed the instructions on the packing list and notified Sauder and received the replacements for the broken pieces in an incredible turnaround time of 2 to 3 days. This is an attractive furniture piece, although it was more difficult to assemble than stated (and my husband is very adept at this type of thing). Overall - very satisfied.

Perfect for my corner space however I give it only 4 starts. If your equipment is older (vcr/dvd/stereo)which is typically bigger, you aren't able to adjust the shelving enough to fit. I didn't put it together but my husband didn't have any trouble. He did it himself with no second person needed to assist. Beautiful piece of furniture. Matches my expensive furniture and paid 1/4 of the price. I received the item as described.

After lots of looking, I came upon this piece. My husband assembled the stand, he was impressed with the instructions and the labeling of the pieces. We purchased a 37" Sony flat screen, and it fits great on this piece. The storage behind the doors is an added bonus.

My husband and I assembled this TV stand in less than 2 hours. The directions are clear and the parts are labeled. The only tools you will need are a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a hammer(to tap in the back). It is helpful that they have "actual size" drawings of the screws so you can match them up for each step. There were no missing parts. This stand is attractive and very sturdy - we're very pleased with it.

I can't say enough good things about this TV stand...I have put together alot of furniture over the years and this was by far the best and clearest instructions I've seen. I just bought my son new bedroom furniture and it practically matched it perfectly. It looks like an expensive piece of furniture and like I bought it from a furniture store...I am on-line now to order another one for my Dad.

Item shipped a lot sooner than estimated. Assembly was o.k. as long as I follewed the instructions. TV stand looks great in our living room - wife is happy!
