I was so tired of my computer taking forever to do anything. My son kept telling me to get rid of my pictures. This grandmother is scared to death of losing my photo's.. This so fits the bill for me. Now I can load in no time.

I'm really impressed that it took such a short time to set up this unit with my Mac mini. While looking at sites to help me set it up (I ended up not needing any help and went through the disk utility), I saw that it was compatible with all mac machines - Laptops, etc... So I just wanted to write a quick review saying first, the speed is great, the external space is a real nice thing to have since I have no need to update my computer outside of just needing more space. The connection between the external hard-drive and my computer is a very fast connection - was worried about it not being given that it's not firewire, but I really can't tell the difference.

The unit itself is sleek, small and compact and really very easy to carry with you if purchasing for a laptop. It really doesn't get much better than this unless you want to take a gamble and buy off of ....... And the price just blew me away. I was expecting to spend much more, but this unit purchased at $ was a great deal considering I was going to order and thus wait for shipping on a unit for half the size and just dollars less.

It's just excellent and I'd recommend it to friends. :)

I bought this to backup my hard drive, then realized it adds to the hard drive. Everything important is backed up and I have more space than before. Easy to use and worth it. I wish I had bought this before I bought a new computer for my son for a bigger hard drive.

I really like this drive. It's just what I needed to gain more space on my laptop. The only thing is, the box is misleading. The box says 250GBs, when in actuality the drive holds 232 GBs.
