Let's be honest- a crib mattress is not something you want to go cheap on...but with that in mind, you can't beat this for the price! The mattress is well-constructed and firm- I've seen some other reviews on here complaining about the firmness and as a pediatric RN would like to remind parents that pillow top and babies don't go well together- it's called SIDS (or just plain old suffocation). As far as a gap between the mattress and crib frame, ours is tight as a drum- because I measured our frame before buying this mattress! Even though cribs and mattresses are supposed to have a "standard size" this is always a good idea- if you look at dimensions for crib mattresses on Target you'll notice that they all vary somewhat. My one complaint about the piece was that it was delivered on a rainy day and even though we brought it right inside and unwrapped it, there was a dirt mark on the side of the mattress that I'm pretty sure wasn't attributable to the delivery- this looked like someone with dirty/dusty hands had solied it while handling it prior to shipping, thus the 4 stars rather than 5. It cleaned right off with some laundry spot remover so problem solved. Other than that we've been very happy with it!

I HAVE TO SAY IM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! I WASNT SURE WHAT WAS GONNA SHOW UP AT MY DOOR SINCE THIS WAS ONE OF THE LEAST EXPENSIVE MATTRESSES, BUT WHEN I OPENED IT UP IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! ITS FIRM AROUND THE EDGES SO WHEN YOUR LITTLE ONE STARTS STANDING UP SHE/HE WONT GET FEET CAUGHT. IT HAS BREATHABLE HOLES ON THE SIDES, ITS FIRE SAFE, WIPEABLE WITH A DAMP CLOTH...ETC. I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH TO MAKE SURE I GOT ONE THAT WAS SAFE AND HAD ALL THE QUALITIES A GOOD MATTRESS SHOULD HAVE, SO I COULDNT BE HAPPIER! THERE REALLY IS NO POINT SPENDING more DOLLARS, AND I ACTUALLY MEASURED MY CRIB BEFORE PURCHASE AND FOUND THAT THE MORE EXPENSIVE ONES WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO SMALL!!! DEFINITELEY DO THE RESEARCH AND DONT GET CAUGHT UP BY BRANDS OR PRICES. THIS MATTRESS IS PERFECT.

I have found no reason to complain. The mattress does it's job. It is firm(safe) for baby and even has a waterproof cover already in place to protect it. My baby sleeps soundly on it.

I added this item to my registry based on it's reviews and price. My husband was a little uneasy about purchasing a product online, rather than in a store but I'm so happy we did! Our daughter's mattress arrived yesterday and we are so pleased with it! All the mattresses I found in stores seemed to be too soft for babies, making them a danger but this mattress is exactly what we've been looking for. I can't wait to be able to use it!

I'm very happy with the purchase of this mattress, for the price I couldn't have asked for a better product. The mattress arrived promptly. The firmness of the mattress makes me feel like not only will my baby be comfortable but he will also be safe. The quality is great, I'd recommend this mattress to anyone.

I love this mattress I bought it on sale for a big price + tax and shipping less than $85 and I don't regret. I did a lot of research because I wanted something good and affordable and believe me target has it at an amazing price for a Serta. I saw same one in other places online and stores bigger price and up + tax. Very fast shipping I ordered friday and received it tuesday just 3 Bussiness days faster than the expected date. I would recommended it, my baby sleeps like a king on this one.
