the light from the candles make it look as though the glass is amber but it is clear. They are nice sconces and look great on my wall but wish I would have purchased a more ornate sconce. Great for someone who loves simple and streamline.

The quality of these sconces is mediocre at best. Each sconce consists of several metal pieces welded together - poorly. The pieces are not lined up smoothly and the holes to mount the sconces are not centered. The black finish seems scratched and uneven. Also, one of the glass pieces arrived cracked. If they were well made they would be simple, beautiful pieces, but I plan on returning them.

When I received this item, the glass in both of them was completely shattered. So sad because they would have been perfect in my house!

I ordered these 4 days ago and when they arrived the glass on both of the sconces was completely shattered and destroyed.Very poor packing.Very dissapointed!!!!!

After reading reviews that these frequently arrive broken, I decided to give it a try and ordered 2 sets to be safe. All 4 sconces were broken. Don't bother ordering these.

The sconces looked nice enough when installed, but the screws sent with them stripped wiht the first turn and then the head on one came off altogether, leaving the rest inside the wall so we needed to reposition to hide it (no way to get that out). Buy your own screws and spray paint them black if you're installing. Also, when i tried to remove the candle that had burned down, the entire peice of glass broke off in my hand. Twice (once with each sconce). Now I'm stuck with the unpleasant situation of having to find a way to replace the glass or buy new. Not our best purchase, which was a shame because they looked so nice.

i was so excited when i saw these online. but that turned into total dispair. the item was completely shattered upon delivery. nothing on the box to say fraigle handle with care. glass included. i didnt even open the box because you can just pick up the box and hear the shattered glass. if you want to sell these online maybe you should contact whoever delivers them that they are being delivered shattered and no good. you should put frsgile handle with care on the box and box the items better so that you wont have so many unhappy customers!!!!!

OK, I took my chances after reading the other reviews about this item. And, indeed it arrived with one of the glass surrounds cracked. I didn't feel like returning it, so I hung them anyway. There are actually two cracks, but the piece somehow manages to stay intact (for how long?). The price is reasonable and they look nice -- but BEWARE. I can see why it arrives broken because it is packed with only bare minimum protection -- in the actual merchandise box AND the shipping box. I wonder how many returns they will take before waking up! Customer satisfaction used to mean a lot to companies...that's the way I remember it anyway. Good luck if you order this item!!

Bought these for my wife for Christmas when they were on sale with free shipping. Hanging them today on New Year's day, and we noticed after hanging the first one that we only had half as much hardware as we needed. Then, looked at the second and noticed that the platform and the metal support that holds it to the sconce is welded crooked, so the glass tube cannot sit on the platform.

Can't exchange (only return) and have to pay full price + shipping to reorder. Not a good experience.
