looks good January 17, 2009 Reviewer:  D.E. "D.E." (Baltimore, MD)  See all my reviews >

I am pleased with the way this lamp looks. It was easy to assemble as well, requiring only a phillips head screwdriver. The instructions were slightly confusing at first, though once I got going it became easier.

I have a couple notes for people looking at this lamp.

First, the pictures don't show the power cord. The cord comes out underneath the bulb, near where the pull chain is. Two brown zip-ties are provided to secure the cord to one of the four poles. This creates a visually weak corner of the lamp, which is otherwise aesthetically pleasing.

Second, the lamp as a whole is very light. Thus it is easy to knock the lamp over. I will try to place something heavy on the bottom shelf to provide additional stability, but the instructions say that the lamp can hold at most six pounds on its shelves.

In conclusion, this lamp has some shortfalls in its engineering (from the end user perspective, of course). But these minor flaws don't significantly detract from a product that provides a great appearance at a wallet-friendly price.

Beautiful but... May 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Rachelknits "Rachelknits" (Florida)  See all my reviews >

I've had it about 5 months. It's not the most stable piece, but works great in a corner where people won't bump into it. BUT today I turned it on (it has a pull chain), and the pull chain came right out of the lamp! Now what the heck do I do....

Looks Great but Quickly Broken July 23, 2009 Reviewer:  Mike See all my reviews >

I loved the look of this lamp and was really happy with it initially. After about three months, the metal chain "on/off" switch broke and fell out. If you buy this lamp, I would put it on a wall circuit that you can turn on and off with a wall switch and not use the chain.

Elegant piece---LOVE IT! February 23, 2009 Reviewer:  "SAM" (Madison, WI)  See all my reviews >

Just bought 2 of these lamps. Really simple to put together. We placed them on granite slabs and they're very stable. 2 heavy vases on bottom shelf adds stability. We decided to use fluorescent bulbs instead of the recommended 150 watt medium bulbs and love the look, plus using much less energy.

Love It! January 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Delighted "in Plymouth" (MN)  See all my reviews >

We absolutely love this lamp! We enjoy the illumination it gives (choose your light bulbs wisely), we find the pull cord works wonderfully (be sure to line up the wholes), the plug in cable is nice and long...we just love it!

I love this lamp! August 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Kate W. (Toms Brook, VA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this lamp for a small studio apartment two years ago in the black color. It was one of the items I didn't move with me on our recent relocation to a house. However, when we moved in, I needed living room lighting and couldn't find another lamp that I liked at all. So I bought the same only this time the walnut finish...the room needed even more lighting, so I bought another! It looks wonderful, whether you place anything on the shelves or not. It's sturdy and doesn't wobble with like most floor lamps that have just the skinny pole support. Sturdy, beautiful, and functional. The previous one I owned lasted 2 years and the only reason I didn't take it was I couldn't find a place for it in the moving truck. I expect the two I just purchased will last 2 years and longer!

Stylish, easy to assemble, but not great quality July 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Rhonda Whitfield "Bella's Mom" Real Name (Miami, FL)  See all my reviews >

I bought two of these lamps about 18 months ago. The assembly was super easy (my 5 year old helped me) and I love the look and the extra display space I have with the shelves. However, the pull chain on one of them is no longer working and the other one is tightening up and I expect it to stop working any time now. The lamps are no longer under warranty so I either need to figure out how to take it apart and install new switches (if I can find the right size at ... ), or invest in new lamps. Not sure it's worth $for a lamp that lasts less than 2 years. Wish quality were better - would have given it 5 stars.

Don't become engineers December 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Mark Wingler "Nothingseeker" Real Name (Novi, Michigan)  See all my reviews >

You actually had problems putting this together? What planet are you from? Easy to assemble, even intoxicated! Nice piece. I'm still laughing after reading some of your comments...

Looks great September 10, 2008 Reviewer:  Spice (Atlanta, GA)  See all my reviews >

Easy to assemble and looks super in our living room. I find it quite sturdy and have picture frames and a vase on it.

Don't Waste Your Money or Time August 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom of 2 See all my reviews >

The screws in the legs strip with the slightest turning, so you can't get any stability. The wing nut for attaching the light socket was stripped so the light bulb would lean and you can't replace the piece without cutting the cord. Created a very nice fire hazard.
