This baking sheet rocks! It makes perfect cookies and frozen pizzas, plus its easy to clean. The only downfall to this item is the flimsiness when trying to pull it out of the oven.

If only it came with instructions...

What took me months to realize was that this baking sheet works best on top of an existing cookie sheet, or any other baking pan. The silicone prevents burning and un even cooking, but if you put it directly on the oven rack it is difficult to remove from the oven, and you may have problems with it "smoking". You get the same even cooked beautiful results when you use it on another pan, as when you use it alone, only without the difficult oven removal. If it came with instructions I could have avoided all the deformed cookies.

The instructions say to "season" the product with non-stick cooking spray before using. The first time I used it I "seasoned" just a small area with a very small amount of cooking oil on a paper towel...I was just baking up a few biscuits.
About halfway through the cook time white smoke is billowing out of my oven! I took the sheet out of the oven (very floppy and hard to control) & put them on a standard cookie sheet and returned them to the oven for the remaining baking time. I tried one more time on another day, now using the non-stick spray. Same result! And now it's impossible to clean. How can I return an item that's greasy? A BIG waste of money.

The first time I used this, the smoke detector started going off. I ran to the kitchen and smoke was pouring out of my oven. The matt had started to melt in my oven with the cookie dough on top of it. This item is quickly getting returned.

I was highly skeptical about silicone cookware when I first saw it. So skeptical, in fact, that it was not until I found some cooking sheets on sale at target for under $2.00 that I tried it. I am hooked! It is great! Muffins and cookies rise higher, cook more evenly, and don't every burn if cooked even close to correctly.
I hear people talk negatively about the cookware, but, I say BRING IT ON!
The only potential negative is that it never looks like new again after a few uses; however, I don't care. The benefits far outweigh that negative in my opinion. In fact, I am here to buy another cookie sheet because my husband burned mine up accidentally (broiled it!)

I can't believe anyone would try to use this as a baking sheet! It's meant to be placed ON TOP of a baking sheet so that the baked goods will not stick to the pan!
I actually own this product and the original silpat. Suprisingly, I like this product a lot better because I believe it cooks even more evenly than the silpat.
This product is great....everything slides off the baking sheet easily and clean-up is a breeze!! BUY IT!

Silicone bakeware is awesome for tons of reasons! If you mistreat it, it won't work out: don't use a knife anywhere near it, it will cut straight through; don't grease them up, baked goods do not stick to them in the first place and you'll end up with greasy stuff or cookies sliding off the baking sheet; and don't scrub them extra hard or use cleaning chemicals on them!
Take some time to learn about your new cookware before bashing it! We all know how to treat Teflon, so we have to be careful when using anything else.

First of all, to the person who was bashing the person for taking out their oven rack... talking about stupid... you misspelled several words in your own review, think again before writing a review yourself!
THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME! I have had two of these for over two years and they wear well, and work great! You do have to use this product on top of a regular cooking sheet but it allows you not to have to use cooking spray and I have always gotten evenly baked food off of it, with NO CLEAN UP besides the mat itself.
Highly recommend.

DUH!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIVE THE STUPIDITY OF SOME PEOPLE. SAYING ITS TO FLIMSY TO USE. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE MAT ON A BAKEING SHEET FOR STABILITY.!!!! THE MATT PERFORMS GREAT AND BETTER THEN THE DISCRIPTION SAYS. I CAN'T BELIVE SOME PEOPLE SAYING THAT THEY HAVE TO REMOVE THE OVEN RACK IN ORDER TO USE THIS MATT. WHAT! ARE THEY REALLY THAT STUPID TO FIGURE OUT THAT YOU NEED TO PUT IT ON A BAKEING SHEET OR TRAY. IT EVEN SAYS THAT IN THE DISCRIPTION. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE USED SO YOUR FOOD COOKS EVENLY AND DOESN'T STICK INSTEAD OF USEING BUTTER OR OIL OR SPRAY. TO THE PERSON WHO WROTE THE REVIEW GIVING THIS ITEM A BAD RATING. YOU SHOULD BE IMBARASSED AT YOU STUPIDITY. DON'T WRITE ANYMORE REVIEW'S BASHING ITEAMS. APPARENTLY YOUR TOO STUPID. YOU SCARE ME. IF YOURE REALLY THAT IGNORENT, MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T GO NEAR AN OVEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. YOU'LL PROBABLY BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE. BOY. PEOPLE LIKE YOU DISSAPOINT ME. ITS 2007 AND THEIR'S STILL PEOPLE IN THE USA THAT STUPID. NO WONDER BUSH GOT REELECTED.

This cookie sheet is so flimsy that you can't move it without supporting it completely underneath. The only way to use it is to take your oven rack out of the oven, place the cookie sheet on it, put cookies on the sheet and put the whole rack back in the oven. To remove from oven you have to remove the rack again. This is extremely cumbersome and inconvenient, especially when hot. The only good thing is you can roll it up like a rug to store. Yes, roll it! I am very disappointed.
