This item is not safe for the microwave. Mine broke after 2 min. in the microwave. I was very unhappy with the product. We did not have gravy with our Thanksgiving dinner due to the product breaking.

On Thanksgiving this gravy boat shattered as soon as the hot turkey gravy hit it, burning my son-in-law in the process. I would recommend that anybody who has this gravy boat, throw it out, return it or only use it for cool temperature sauces. Very dangerous!

I ordered this item and received it poorly packaged with the ladle broken so I sent it back for an exchange. the second one I received also arrived poorly packaged with the ladle broken. I gave up and asked for a refund.
