I love the colors of the quilt, but every time I wash it, I have to hand sew the squares.

I bought this quilt for my daughter, washed it once on the delicate cycle and let it air dry. The seams were ripping from one washing. I then returned it to the store and they let me get another one (thinking it was a fluke the other one had washed so poorly). I washed the quilt on the delicate cycle, hung it to dry and the same thing happened again. I am going to return the quilt, but am very disappointed. The quilt is pretty, but not worth the money we paid for it.

I bought this quilt and decorated my daughter's entire room around it. Including paint color. We've had it only 3 months, it's never been washed and it is falling apart at the seams. I've hand stitched 4 squares back together myself. It needs to be washed but I'm afraid it will completley fall apart. Since I've built my daughter's shabby chic room around this quilt, I am taking it to a professional to have every stitch reinforced. I'm surprised that Rachel Ashwell or Target would put out such a shotty product. I'm a total Target' Junkie and I love everything Rachel Ashwell touches. However, I'm very disappointed with this purchase.

We have this quilt on my 5 y/o daughters bed...she LOVES pink....it's beautiful, but you do have to watch the squares after each wash....we have had to sew a couple of them that have started to fray or come undone at the seems.

Like another reviewer, I gave this quilt tlc, but many of the seams started to come apart and the stuffing is coming out. If it were better constructed, it would be a five star item. Despite its flimsiness, I can't find another comforter I like better. This one is just so soft, and I love the different textures of the chenille, the cotton, the velvet, etc. Almost makes me want to buy it again and hope for better luck next time!

I watched this quilt and wanted it so badly, however, I could not afford it so I saved for it. Finally was able to purchase it....washed it ONE time on delicate and it completely fell apart...dozens of the seams tore and the stuffing was all over the place. My puppy even choked on a piece of it. I thought it was a "fluke" too until coming here. I will be bringing this back and I'll be very careful when buying from this line again. But the sad part is, I have my master bedroom and bath decorated around this theme and have no idea what to do now. Probably just go white and safe. Why isn't this product taken off the market with all these BAD reviews? I don't get it!

My daughter has 2 twin beds in her room, so I bought 2 twin quilts, 2 shams, a throw pillow, and 3 sheets sets. I used the 3rd sheet set to cover 2 cornace boards for the windows. I also bought 4 of the coordinating balloon shades. Once her room was completely repainted to match her new bedding and the cornace boards were hung, my 1 year old got a little washable marker on 1 of the quilts. I washed it, and to my surprise, it came apart at most of the seams for the patch work! I then hoped it was a fluke and washed the 2nd quilt just to see, and it fell apart too!

When converting my little girl's nurshery into her "BIG GIRL" room, I purchased this quilt and all the accessories. I absoloutely loved it. It was just the amount of girly that I wanted. Well not a week after I purchased it my daughter spilled her juice on it. I followed the directions on the tag when washing, and when I put it back on her bed, I noticed that all of the velvet squares had come unstitched. I was very upset. This perfect bedding looked 20 years old. I did take it back to Target and got a refund on the entire collection. What I don't understand is if they are having so many problems with the quilt why not take it off the shelf or at least warn someone that it is very possible that you are going to pay this much for a faulty quilt. I did purchase another comforter from the shabby chic kids collection and so far it is GREAT!!

This is a lovely set IF you never wash it. I bought the set including pillow shams less than two weeks ago. I washed the pillow shams using the care directions and seams along the velvet patches let go. I returned the quilt and shams and received wonder service. However, I was very disappointed in the product considering these were not inexpensive. So, be careful.

Watch out for holes! I bought this quilt today and was very excited to get it home to my little girl's new "big girl bed". We had decorated her nursery shabby chic style and bought this quilt for her new twin size bed. My mother and I inspected it quite well at the store, but when I set it up in her room and looked it over, there were rips all over it!! They are hard to notice in the store because they are all on seams where the white velvet squares are sewn to white cotton squares. Please look over this quilt on the seams where the squares are sewn and check for holes!! I am so disappointed, but I am going tomorrow to trade it for another hopefully!! This time I hope I find one where all of the seams are sewn together! I expect more for $80, but this is somewhat common for machine made quilts with different fabrics (so I am told).
