Sure is pretty until you wash it (according to instructions). It pills terribly - covers everything it comes in contact with in fuzzies.

I have been eyeing this quilt for over a year, and these reviews about them falling apart in the wash kept me from purchasing one. Until one day I was in Target and looked at the washing instructions. You MUST have a front load washer or a washer without an agitator (they are making top-load agitator-free washers now). There is no such thing as a "gentle cycle" when an agitator is involved. I strongly suspect that those who "followed the washing instructions" actually just used the gentle cycle in an agitator-type washer - and that will definitely pull the patchwork apart. I inspected my entire quilt when I purchased it - the craftmanship is superb. Holds up just fine with a front load (non-agitator) washing machine. I'm very glad I purchased it - it is a stunning quilt.

The quilt and the whole collection is beautiful! I have washed it, no problems, it did not come apart or anything! I would highly recommend this collection, it's great!

I washed the pillow shams and they fell apart in the washer. I did not see anything in the washing instructions about using a front loading washer. I was going to take the spread to the laudromat because it is too big for my washer, but I ruined my shams washing them at home. This requirement should be more obvious and it should be on the tag that is attached to the shams. It only says machine wash. My 90 days expired 06/25 and I took them back to Target 06/29 and they would not do anything.

I bought this for my daughters room. Its very pretty and has been washed a few times and I have had no issues. There are adorable valances to match and we love the set.

I was a little worried about this quilt falling apart because of all the reviews (and I do not have a front load washer) but I held my breath and washed the quilt immediately after purchasing in my washer (I am not planning a midnight run to a laundromat if my daughter has an accident in the night involving this quilt) and it did beautifully. I bought this one in person and did a few tug-tests on the separate patches before buying, and it looked plenty sturdy to me. I thought if it did badly I could return it (it did NOT have front loader only instructions on mine) but it did great.

It is BEAUTIFUL and looks wonderful in my daughter's room. Her walls are spring green with pink, white, and cream accents that perfectly matched her crib bedding, so when we changed her cherry crib into the full bed, this quilt was so perfect because it has the white, cream, pink, and green without being baby-ish in the least. I want this room to grow up with her from infancy to teen years, and this quilt was perfect. And if she goes goth when she hits 15, then....I'll take this quilt and redo my room with it! Best buy I could have made!

I am doing my daughter's room in shabby chic and I saw this quilt and sham set and knew that I had to have it for her. I just finished painting her room in the blues,pinks and green colors for it when the quilt had arrived. When I opened it up I was so excited to see how beautiful it looked. Just like a heirloom! It is also made very well and it is so soft and comfortable. She is in heaven with her new bedroom and bed set that she never wants to leave her room!! Thank you for making my daughter's dream bedroom become real!
