I needed a small desk for my bedroom that matched the existing decor (all of my bedroom furniture is from the shabby chic collection) and saw this vanity at Target and couldn't pass it up for this price. It's the perfect size to use as a small desk. Set up took less than 10 minutes I didn't install the mirror as I intended to use it as a desk for my laptop. It's the perfect size and matches perfectly. It's not the best quality and I can see how everyday use would cause it to mess up.

I absolutely adore this vanity. It was SO easy to put together (took less than 5 minutes) but the quality isn't GREAT. Some of the filigree detail is a little chipped (but I don't really care). It's a great size and was a great price. I suggest it!

one of the rear legs broke on ours - and the break is ragged, not clean, so can't repair. are there spare parts you can order?

I was really hesitant to buy this due to the negative reviews, but the price was right and it matched my daughter's room. We ordered it online and nothing was broken or missing. My husband put it together in minutes and my 15 year old daughter is thrilled. We bought the matching stool and it is really cute together. I was afraid it might be too small but even a small adult can use it. I would buy this for any girl, ages 3-18. The mirror is high quality and not distorted.

I simply love love this vanity. I just turned 19 & have been wanting one of these bad boys for quite some time but i could never find one that matched my room without being to bulky & overpriced. This is PERFECT it fits great in my room [ i have it in the corner by my window ] it was super easy to put together! i got it done less than 20 mins by myself [which i should of carried to my room before. lol my dad had to carry it up the stairs lol] overall this is great for ANY AGE RAGE! sturdy & does what it's suppose to. my 8 year old niece loves it so much! that she is getting one too.

The set was extremely easy to put together and looks fantastic! I use it every day and it is very sturdy. The drawer is easy to open and close and has ample room. I'd buy it all over again. I highly recommend this product, especially for the price!

Not only is this affordable but well made had it shipped and everything was fine with all pieces included. Assembled in about three to five minutes and LOVE IT!!!! Great for adult or child. Very impressed and outstanding quality for price. Buy it!!! You wont be sorry you did:0)

I give this 5 stars, not because it is the most well made or because it will become a family heirloom, but because of the price. My daughter really wanted a vanity for her bedroom. We didn't want to spend a fortune on this item because it will possibly have limited interest in her life. She saw this one in a magazine. We did a bit of research on it and read the reviews. We were a bit concerned because of some of the reviews that talked about broken or missing pieces in shipping because of poor packaging and that the product itself was low quality. The overall star rating was 3.5. Not terrible, not great. But then the price swayed us, because for little more than 100. dollars, it doesn't have to be perfect. We tried to see if our local stores had it in stock to avoid having it shipped as we didn't want to risk the "poor packaging", but none were available so we ordered on line. Well, first of all, the packaging was totally adequate and protective. All the pieces were sent and none were broken. We put it together and found that the quality of the piece was quite sturdy and not apt to fall apart at all. We recommend this piece of furniture. And as some others have said in their reviews, it is appropriate for adults or children.

I am overall very pleased with the vanity I just bought from my local Target store. After reading some of the more negative reviews, I decided to play it safe and wait until my local store had it in stock, hopefully avoiding any broken parts.

My plan worked, because no parts were broken in any way. There was a very small paint chip on the mirror but not enough to really bother me at all. Of course, everyone should know that the line is called SHABBY CHIC, and it made to look antiqued. You should not expect a perfect, pristine paint job on any of the pieces. They are made to have a vintage look.

All things aside, the reason for the four stars is simple; when I took the leg of the vanity back to compare to by Shabby Chic bookcase (also from Target), the color was slightly darker, and a little greener?, than both my other pieces. It is not even enough to be noticeable unless the pieces are right next to each other.

I, on the whole, love this vanity though. It's a wonderful buy for the price, it's big enough for an adult female, and it will suit any room.
