What an excellent value. We bought this for our daughter and he has LOVED it! Not only can she actually view the sky via live telescope feeds, she is learning in the accompanying activity book. The whole family is enjoying the process of learning the complete solar system. A value in and of itself.
We think all children have the opportunity to view the night sky and enjoy the work book that comes with it. We're thinking of buying at least the 200 min Mission Card for greater access to sky viewing pleasure!

Great educational product. While I bought this product for my 10 year old son, I found myself blown away from the views. We actually planned out a few missions and reserved the telescope to point to our object. We took some photos. Well worth the the cheaper price.

Slooh receives the lowest rating possible.
Any kid would be bored silly with this EVEN if it worked as advertised.
Frequent downtime (not due to weather but broken equipment).
They state they have 2 scopes in Europe, 2 in Chile, 1 in Australia. They currently have 1 scope in Europe (which is partially disabled, 1 scope in Chile and none working in Australia.
A selling point is members can schedule time to operate one of the scopes for member missions - this feature has not worked for many months with no eta for it to return.
Their forum, where members are sent for information is heavily censored and any questions or concerns that slooh does not want addressed are deleted.
Slooh has removed their "status" page to show what equipment they actually have installed and running.
VERY unfriendly chat room where you are encouraged to go for assistance.
Difficult to navigate. There are no links to the forum, no way to know the up to date status as they removed their status page.
This site is tedious to use for an adult and is certainly not aimed at children.
