Great quality for the price May 2, 2008 Reviewer:  K & J (Maryland)  See all my reviews >

Very pleased with this set. Sturdy, quality cushions. Picked up at the store...shipping was more than the 15% online discount offered. All pices (table and four dining chairs) were intact, all parts there. Took about 2 hours to put all five pieces together. The finish is good, but on a couple of pieces uneven in places. The wood looked very thirsty, so we put two coats of teak oil on it, and it looks richer now. (Note that teak oil will not give a sheen. Apply liberally.) Overall, we are looking forward to years of dining on our screened porch. Great deal!

NOT WORTH IT!! March 18, 2009 Reviewer:  Mary E. Craig Real Name (South Carolina)  See all my reviews >

Fabric faded in less than a month.. Wood faded in less than 3 months. Wood cracked and split within 3 months. Not steady..

Fabric Quality Poor August 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Melissa R (Charlottesville, VA)  See all my reviews >

We purchased the dining set, 2 loveseats, 2 club chairs, and an end table from this collection 2 months ago. They are on our deck, which admittedly gets full sun most of the day. We do have a retractable awning which we keep out much of the time. The wood has held up very well (although I do recommend using teak oil on it regularly), but the fabric is horribly faded. And it does not fade consistently. Some of the pillows have turned a bright green, and others gray. It looks awful. At this point, I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of returning it, so I will probably just recover the cushions with a better fabric next summer. I would recommend this furniture for a shaded area, but definitely NOT for a sunny area. What is most shocking to me is that it faded within 3-4 weeks of getting it. A year or two, and I would not be shocked, but to me, this is not "outdoor furniture."

Don't waste your time or your money June 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Deborah "Deborah J" (Atlanta, GA)  See all my reviews >

After reading several bad reviews for th 2007 Smith and Hawkin line, I still decided to purchase and went to the store to touch and feel the 2008 line. While I thought it was somewhat light, it was a great price and went ahead and purchased on-line. 90% of what was shipped looked like it had been previously opened, pieces taken out and returned. The chairs were either missing parts, were damaged or didn't line up correctly to build. We spent 4 hours trying to make it work and after giving up, it took us another 2 hours to box everything back up to ship back to Target.
Target was great about the return, but both Smith & Hawkin and Target should take some quality control measures before shipping products. Even some of the directions were incorrect. Smith & Hawkin should actually look at the furniture before lending their name to it. Target needs to inspect all returns before shipping merchandise back out. It was obvious that someone had purchased and returned the items before it was delivered to us.
Don't buy this set, it's not worth your time.

Awesome, a real bargain July 7, 2008 Reviewer:  J. Mullen "Cubsfan" Real Name (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

We are SO pleased with this set. We bought it at our local store for 50% off over the July 4th weekend. We couldn't be happier It is sturdy, high quality, and the cushion covers are removable so they can be washed. It looks like a set that is much more expensive. My husband put the table and six chairs together and it took about 2 1/2 hours. We did not have any missing parts. Love it! A real bargain. I also love that the hole for the umbrella comes with a wood plug so we don't have to always use our umbrella. Fantastic.

Need more folding chairs available! June 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Diane (Loretto, TN)  See all my reviews >

Love the table but would love to have more of the folding chairs viewed in the picture. One of the chairs I purchased looked like it had been dropped and was trying to come apart. Not sure if I am going to return it or keep it and fix it myself, since I can seem to get another. They were the only two in the store when I purchased them. But I really love the look of this table and chairs on my patio.
