The duo was coached by Ernst Bacon before the recording sessions for authentic interpretation. The Diamond represents 20th Century composition at its most pleasurable—it is very easy to listen to. The original master tapes were lost and, for this CD, pristine copies of the LP were meticulously transferred to digital format.
