This is not going to replace a high end sony flash but it is way better than the pop up flash for basic indoor shots it is great can be used to bounce of the ceiling, it's range is up to 66' Your alpha series can control the flash and had ttl which most third party flashes in this price range do not. Very small and compact easy to keep in pocket or folded down on camera when not in use.
