I needed a small desk for a nook and this really is the perfect size. It was super easy to assemble, but there wasn't enough detail in the picture and so I didn't realize until I got it that it has 3 grooves across the top of it that make it look like the top is made out of planks. Makes it a lot more rustic-looking than I was going for, plus I would have much preferred a smooth surface for writing. Now that I know what it looks like I can compare it with the picture and see a hint of the grooves but a close-up picture would have been nice so I knew exactly what I was getting.

I ordered this console table to use as a desk, because I have a laptop and my room is a bit small. This table is the perfect size, and it doesn't look as bulky as the actual desk from this collection. I was a bit hesitant to order it because of all the bad reviews that said the table came damaged, and all that. But I ordered it anyway, and when I received it today, I was so happy to see that it is perfect! And it was so easy to assemble; I think it was harder to get it out of the box, and get rid of all the styrofoam and packaging tape. I only needed the help of my dad to take the box upstairs (it is a heavy box), and I assembled it myself, which wasn't hard at all, because you only need to put in the legs and the little knobs for the drawers.

I'm very happy with my new desk, and I would recommend this to everyone!

Nice table but the dimesions listed are incorrect. The actual size is L 47.24" X H 29.5" X W 15.75". It was obvious that the 74" height listed on the website was wrong, but I had counted on the width being correct. Now I have a table that doesn't fit the spot where I needed it.

I was looking for a desk for my college daughters room for her scanner/printer and her laptop. This is a VERY nice desk. The best part was it was completely put together except for the 4 legs and the 2 knobs to screw in. Took 10 mins to assemble!!! I read some of the other reviews and the packing for this piece was unbelievable, they had this so tightly packed with styrofoam that I can't belive they got damaged. It is really a pretty piece of furniture and works great as a writing desk if you need that too.Best of all I got in on "clearance" so it was 1/2 off !!!

the table was a little bigger than I thought but is a very nice piece of furniture. It is very sturdy and heavy. I was very impressed.

I was so excited when I got my Table so quickly.But to my disappointment,the first table was damaged.The wood was cracked.So,I returned it to Target without a problem.Ordered another table,thinking can't go wrong with the second table.I put it together and look it over..as excited as I was.I look closer and see the wood is sagging in the middle of the 2 drawers,I removed the drawers and see the wood is cracked.Can't be fixed..back to target I go to get another refund.As much as I loved the looks of the table and wish nothing was wrong,it was damaged.I won't order another table.I hope people had better luck then I did.

I am currently in an apartment and I needed a desk small enough to fit in a certain space yet double for something else when I move. This is perfect, it's compact size and the drawers make it very functional for my needs. It looks great and arrived in fairly good condition. The back corner was slightly dented in shipping but that is to be expected with cheap, flat packed furniture shipped from China. Maybe my expectations aren't high enough for this quality of furniture but I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". It is a great piece for the price and I love it. My husband is in sales and he says you can get products cheap, fast and of good quality but you can only pick 2. If you want it cheap and fast, it won't be good quality. If you want it cheap and of good quality, it won't be fast. If you want it fast and of good quality, it won't be cheap!

I spent the past few months looking in retail stores and online for a small table that could accomodate my laptop and my printer. My preference was also for one with drawers. I was so pleased to find the South Hampton Console table and really appreciated the price. It was delivered in perfect condition, was very easy to assemble, and is just what I wanted for that spot.

I love this console table! It is very simple to put together, and the finished look is shabby chic and sophisticated. I bought it as a TV stand for my bedroom and the height is just right for that purpose. The one thing that I didn't notice from the picture is that there are indented lines going across the length of the table top. Either way, I would definitely recommend this console, and the price is unbeatable!
