I wasn't sure about buying a desk on-line but am so impressed with the price, quality, and ease in putting this desk together. We are very pleased.

This desk is super easy to put together and is very beautiful. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because I like a little more leg room since I tend to sit indian-style in my chair. I would buy it again especially with the free ship and 15 percent off deal (that's the way to go). Definitely worth the money, very solid nice piece of furniture.

I got this desk to go in my office (it exactly matches the Shabby Chic bookcases from this site), and I love the desk itself.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the drawer is a pullout keyboard drawer, which I don't need because I have a laptop. But when I raise my desk chair to the appropriate height, my arms are still reaching up a bit to use my laptop. If I put the laptop on the keyboard tray (as I'm doing now), I am looking down at my laptop.

So I'm going to see if my hubby can remove the keyboard drawer (so that I could raise the chair higher) or we may have to get me a detached keyboard. I edit from home as a living, and I need a workspace that will be comfortable for hours at a time.

I love the desk and was excited about the price. But, when I called some friends to put it together for me, they discovered that the drawer was split underneath in several places where the screws were attached. This was not from shipping, but manufacturing and the fact that the material was so thin underneath and therefore prone to splitting from the pressure of screws. Target was very kind about replacing the entire desk, with the agreement that I could remove the parts I needed from the box, and they would pick up the remainder of the parts. That way, we don't have to put the desk together again. Two legs were also missing from the side table and Target is replacing the table with the same arrangement. Under the drawer where it's split are the words, "Made in China." So I guess if you pay for cheap, you get cheap. I think the next time, I'll look for the words, "Made in USA," even if I have to pay a little more. Those words are hard to find these days. We need better quality and our USA citizens need jobs!

I bought this desk with the matching hutch about 2 years ago. I love it. I would call it white, not a blinding bright white, nor an off white or cream. Just a soft nice white. After owning this desk for 2 years I bought the keyhole chair last week to match it. Was easy enough to put together and is solid wood. The rest of my apt is contains some furntiure from a Swedish manufacture which also required assembly, and you can really tell the quality of this piece compared to the Swedish stuff. I really recommend the hutch that matches the desk. It looks great and is very handy for reference books, decor and has two wicker drawers.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas 2008 (along with the matching 'hutch')and am really impressed. Shipping was about a week, so that was within the timeframe they gave. The boxes arrived slightly scuffed, but nothing worse than other stuff. Pretty heavy too. Oh and I got these on sale with free shipping, so that was the best thing - really good value compared to the [.............]prices other places charge for comparable items.

The desk itself was so easy to put together, just attach the legs. Solid construction, not cheap feeling like some others, but also not so heavy and bulky that you feel like it is boat anchor.

The center drawer pulls out and then the front folds down so it 'converts' into a keyboard shelf. Since we have a cordless keyboard it works perfectly (although for tall people it can be a bit low, you need a chair that drops down a lot so it's not so tight on your legs).

The desk is very elegant and clean. The white color is a pretty bright flat white, not a cream color white (which I really did not want, so I was glad). Also it is compact and really does not take up a lot of space. The only negative here is that if you put the matching hutch on top, there is not a lot of surface space remaining. The desk is a bit too short in 'depth' - front to back. Another few inches would be better. The solution is that if the hutch is going to be supported against a wall, you can actually pull the desk out a few inches so that the back of the hutch hangs out over the back of the desk.

Overall very happy with Target on this one, it really made the holidays more special (I was worried about a screw up with shipping before Christmas, but it turned out great - just make sure to order early enough).

This desk is wonderful! My husband and I share an office and I wanted something girly to counter his desk. This is perfect! It took minutes to put together, just screw in the feet. It's sturdier than I though it would be and the color is a very bright white. It won't get scratched unless with something sharp (my son bit it, resulting in a small scratch!) It's very easy to clean, just to be sure to clean immediately otherwise it'll be stained onto the desk. The table space is small if you want to do projects that require a lot of space. Wonderful desk, highly reccommend!

I bought this desk about 8 months ago, and have never had an issues with it! I will be honest, it doens't get a ton of use, but I have set stuff on it, etc. and always been able to wipe it clean with no issues! It was easy to put together by myself (and I am NOT handy!). My only complaint is that there isn't a drawer, but instead a pull-out drawer than unfolds....course, I knew that before buying the desk, so I wasn't disappointed, just think that would have been nice to have!
