This year for x-mas I bought this for my 21 mos old. He loves to color like big bro and big sis and this way I did not have to worry about him walking around the house with crayons, wondering where he'll find to write. This thing is easy to use and quite fun. This new years I brought it to the fam gathering. My very much older cousins found it and had it the rest of the day, since we spent the night there. I woke up and found they already had it the next day as well. It was a big hit this new years. When the older guys didn't have it (when they were eating) My 9 yr old cousin with SMA had it. She loved it as well. It fit nicely on the tray of her wheelchair and the pen was light enough for her to pick up and use. SMA is when your muscles atrophy over time. She needs toys that are light in weight and can work with minimal muscle. She usually writes real light on paper but with this aqua doodle you can see very well what she writes, it comes out darker.

I bought this awhile ago but saved it for a time I thought might be needed (new toy = bigger distraction). It keeps him occupied for about 15 minutes when we are out. He is 2 and never was a chewer so I guess I am lucky on that one reading the other reviews. I think it is great and wish I had bought one earlier!

My son is 1 yr. 10 mo. and this toy says it's for 2 years and up. However, he still likes to chew on things, so the pen to this toy was ruined within 3 days. I even tried cutting off the chewed tip and pulling it out a little more, but it's useless. He liked it while it lasted, but I guess I'll have to get him another one when he's 3.

I purchased this for my daughter when she was 2, she's now 4 1/2 and STILL loves it! My son, 18 months, tries to steal it... SO he will be asking Santa for his own this year!
I love that it's lightweight, no mess and has handles so she can carry it herself- while I carry the other 50 things we take everywhere! LOL.
You will not be disappointed!
