The case didn't close very well so you could have sand leaking out after "cleaning up." Fun for kids, but not so for parents. The sand was dropped on the brick patio and got mixed up with other stuff there - difficult to retrieve "clean sand" off of the floor. Used it until all the sand ran out (did that within a few weeks.)

I love this Moon Sand. It doesn't dry out and doesn't get in the carpet like play dough. It sits on top of the carpet and leaves no stains. I have had no problems cleaning it up. I like how everyting fits back in the case. My daughter loves it too. She likes how she doesn't have to remember to put lids back on.

The case closure snapped off right away and we couldn't find one of the pieces so we kept this up high on the refrigerator...must be supervised, it gets everywhere and mixes together but our daughter loves to play with it.

I agree with the other reviewers, it's horrible! Kinda like a mix of play dough and sand, except when small play dough pieces fall on the floor you can take a larger piece and it will all stick together, not so much with Moon Sand. Makes a huge mess!
If you'd be ok with your kids playing with colored sand in your house, this would be ok, other than that, avoid it!

Do not buy this toy!! It made the biggest disaster I have ever seen. The box says no mess, it's exactly like dumping wet sand all over your house.
