Mixed experience

Reviewer:  Millie  (Oregon USA)  See all my reviews

Compared to my previous electric mattress pad of a different brand, this one has some down sides. It does not have zone heating, so it tends to overheat my upper body while my feet remain cold. Also, the mesh that goes down the side and under the mattress is very slick, so each night the pad and sheet pull up at our heads. The design could use some improvements.

works great, lasts years; keeps us warm

Reviewer:  Mr. D. "Mr. D."  (NY)  See all my reviews

We have had 4 of these for may years and they work perfect.

Washing might be complicated, but we put ours on the mattress and that put a zippered Mattress Cover around it all. Keeps the Pad clean for years with no need for washing.

Awesome Heated Mattress Pad

Reviewer:  Warm and toasty in Iowa "Gina"  (Iowa)  See all my reviews

This mattress pad is the best thing! I see some of the other reviewers had problems with washing it. We have not washed ours yet but always keep a sheet on top. We purchased it last fall and are still using it this spring. We turn it on high before we go to bed and its warm and toasted when we get in and then turn it down to low. I can't say enough great things about it. For the price if I have to buy another next year its well worth it. It has helped the pain in my hip from a previous hip fracture in an auto accident trememdously.

Nice and warm, but you cannot wash the thing

Reviewer:  Mark P  (Minnesota)  See all my reviews

These mattress pads will make your bed nice and warm. The only problem is that it is impossible to follow the washing instructions with any normal washing machine. They want you to start with a 5 minute soak, followed by 2 minutes of gentle agitation, followed by regular speed spin, followed by ... Our machine doesn't have that type of a cycle, meaning that we have to stand over the machine and change the setting every few minutes. The tag says that you can damage the pad if you don't follow these instructions.

The down side of all of this is that we bought two pads for our young children's room, thinking they would be better options than electric blankets. Now we are in the coldest part of winter, and both of those mattress pads have stopped working, probably because they are so fragile. They didn't even last a half of a year. Our pad is still going, but it doesn't need to be washed as much.
