Stare! Junior is simply a terrific game for the kids. It's fun, it's educational (without the kid's knowing it); it's interesting; and it is a great social activity. During each kid's turn, the child stares at an image to study as much detail as they can recall. Then, when time is up, the child is asked a series of questions about the image. For instance, what is in the teddy bears hand? The Images are just terrific and fun to look at. We take this one in the car on long trips - the kids play and I keep track of how far they advance on the game board. Really, you will be happy you have this. No gimmicks, just good old-fashion game play, with laughs and learning thrown in for good measure.

This game is great for our whole family to play. You STARE at a card & roll the dice to see which question to answer about the picture. If you are right then you move along the board. My 5-year-old can't read yet, so some other games are too hard for him. He can easily win at this game though. Builds visual-memory skills. A critical skill in school, yet so few games target this. My 8-year-old got this for her birthday & LOVES it months later. Has not lost it's appeal. There are 6 possible questions for each picture (160 pictures), so it could take years to get the same question twice.

This is one of the few board games we own that my 6 1/2 yr old daughter asks to play on a regular basis. I enjoy playing it with her. The retro feel of the pictures on the cards is fun, and with so many cards to choose from you could play almost indefinitely without getting any repeats. I also like that it's educational without being obvious about it. The game helps boost her memory and plays quickly so she doesn't get bored. It helps her reading skills as well. Even though she doesn't look forward to doing her reading assignments from school, she gets a big kick out of reading the questions to me. All in all a good family game that is a nice change of pace from what most kids play with today.

I ordered this as a bday gift after reading about the game. Who doesn't love FUN educational games? I couldn't wait to buy it for my own kids. My 6 year-old and 8 year-old love it! My 6 year-old asked my husband to play and my husband couldn't stop playing. I love that even a non-reader can make up his/her own questions for each picture. It teaches to focus on details and develops a photographic memory. But most importantly, it's a lot of fun! This should be in every family's board game collection!
