This is a great product for beginning swimmers. Our 2.5 year old loves the water and this year she started to try and climb out of my arms while in the pool. Big problem since she doesn't know how to swim yet so we tried the arm bands to help her stay afloat and learn how to move in the water. The arm bands did help some but her mouth and nose would sometimes go under water with her moving around so she ended up choking. Not very fun for her and scary for me. So I went back to the store looking for something else and I stumbled upon this product where they keep the life jackets and decided to try it since it was U.S. Coast-Guard Approved while some of the others were not. Took it home and then headed out for the pool. It worked terrific, her head stayed above the water at all times but still allowed her to move around the pool with no complaint. She even felt comfortable to start and try floating on her back. I would definatly recommend this product to any parent.

Our toddler wore this happily at the lake this year and in the big pool. We were surprised that he didn't mind having it on. The only catch was that when he was in water up to his chest or so, it made him feel unstable since it wanted to help him float. It made him nervous and even if we were holding on to him, he wanted to move either into deeper water or shallower water. That midpoint was challenging. That said, I'd definitely buy this again since I expect it to work even better next year as he gets bigger and more comfortable in the water.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old(just turned 3) I have the orange one for my five year old and the green for my 3 year old.
My 5 year old has never swam before. She is old enough to know to keep her head out of the water. With that knowledge and this thing she swam from one end of the pool and then back without stopping once. That was her first time swimming. My son on the other hand is still very fearful of letting go of mommy in the pool but when i would trick him into letting go he did fairly well that is until he figured it out. If the kid struggles they could get hurt so please always have them supervised.
The other great thing is it wont pop or leak air cause it isn't full of air. These are reusable and I cant believe it took them this long to come up with this. I also wasn't into the using a life vest because of the crotch strap and the kids don't have very good movement to really swim. These cost a lot but are really worth it! I would pay double the price if I had to because they are that good!

We tried several swimming aids for our 20-month-old son with limited or no success. Until that is we purchased the puddle jumper! It is easy to put on, he doesn’t mind wearing it, and it actually keeps him afloat. We have been using it for the past three weeks and his confidence has grown tremendously. It puts him in a good swim position in which he has started to really use his arms and legs.
The only drawback may be that he has so much confidence now that he is becoming somewhat of a daredevil in the pool.

This has been such a great product for my 3 year old son. He is now in our pool with confidence instead of hanging out on the steps, and has full range of motion. Safer and more durable than swimmies/water wings. [...]

This is the absolutely the best flotation device we have found! Before we had to blow up the arm bands everytime and use a life vest. This combines both in one with the ease of a single clip. It is so easy and fast to get on and off and keeps my 2 1/2 year old upright in the pool and she can swim around all by herself. Definitely worth the money!

Love it! I have 3 kids and just discovered the puddle jumper about a month ago. Works sooo well. She is almost 2 and was all over the pool. So much better than anything else I've ever used!!!

My son LOVES the Puddle Jumper and so does Mommy! Gives complete freedom of movement and coast-guard approved safety for non-swimmers. He actually doesn't want to take it off because it gives him so much independence in the water, and keeps him in an upright, comfortable position. And I feel secure knowing he can paddle around without it sliding off (unlike those darn arm floaties!) Talk about a revolutionary idea- I wish I'd had one as a kid! You will LOVE it, highly recommend it!!

This makes you feel so much safer in the water! My two year old uses it in pools, boating and at the beach. It doesn't bother him at all and it keeps his head high above the water. He weighs about 30lbs and it works great!

My sister in law has bought this for her kids and when I saw it and saw how good her 2yr old swim with it, I knew I had to buy it. My daughter is only 20 months and she swims all around our pool with this ..on her own. I love it. It gives her the freedom. I do stay with her at all times. As she learns to swim with it. But so far...she uses this everyday and loves it. I would recommend this to any mother.
