First of all they make you rate there products 1 to 5 stars but beleive me if I could have rated this product I would have rated it a minus -5 stars!! I could not believe Target would sell something like this which was made so cheap! It was delivered to me today 2-20-08 in 2 small boxes because I bought two of them thinking this would really solve the problem of getting shoes off the floor. The hard plastic stoppers that you put together with each vinyl planels did not want to fit & everytime you would get one to fit then another one would pop out!! Even the frosted vinyl panals stiching started poping apart when putting it together which can not be fixed unless you want to start gluing them back together again. No Instructions! nothing wanted to fit properly and then to add insult to injury the vinyl panels started ripping out. [...]

This thing is a bunch of plastic squares that you have to connect using small plastic connectors that easily break and are quickly lost. Initial assembly was a nightmare and even after I put it together parts kept breaking off. The plastic chips and you cant put shoes in it and then move the unit. I tried this and had to reasemble it all over again. I am extremely frustrated with this product and after having it for like 3 months the whole thing is broken and falling apart. I am looking for a replacement that is sturdy and NOT PLASTIC so that I can finally throw this product in the trash where it belongs!

These work great, I had to work around a shelf in the middle of my shoe space, so I had to buy a system that could be assembled in any shape. I love these, they are very sturdy, and they work well in the space.
However, had my boyfriend happened not to be here when they arrived, I may have returned them. They are VERY difficult to assemble, the parts that click together are very hard to get on. But once they are on, they are very stable.

After reading the reviews I almost brought it right back to the store, as I had nothing but trouble and bloody knuckles with the wire storage cubes that are similar to this system. But I decided to tough it out and give it a try. I was sick of digging for shoes!!
As suggested by other reviewers, I took my time. I made sure all the corners of each compartment were completely secure before moving on to the next section. After it was all assembled I squeezed and pushed down on every surface to make sure it was locked in place. Then I carried upstairs to my closet without any problems.
I decided to make mine 7 cubes high and 2 cubes wide. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted! I'm able to display all my shoes in very little space.
Buy this product only if you are willing to invest the time in assembly

I was surprised by the good quality of this product for the price, it is sturdier when assembled than most higher priced products. I love the ability to customize the arrangement of the cubicles, it makes it very versatile. I gave it only 4 stars because it is a little difficult to put together till you get the hang of it & your palm will get sore from pushing the pieces together. Once done, this is a great product & I am buying more of them myself.

After trying multiple storage systems, this one fit all of my needs. When you are putting it together, take your time and make sure every panel is flush to the connector. If you do this, it is so sturdy, there is no way it can fall apart. All sizes of shoes will fit in the cubbies; it has multiple configurations - the best ever! I've had 3 of them for 6 months, and they have exceeded my expectations! Just be patient with the assembly - it is well worth it. And make sure you put the cubby in position before you put the shoes in it.

This shoe storage system is the absolute best shoe system in existence. I was very hesitant about purchasing it because so many people said that it was impossible to put together and was basically a piece of crap. After ordering this item and putting it together, I completely disagree. Putting the first cube together is the absolute HARDEST part--but once you have that first cube together, it's extremely simple from there. Also, you must use a hammer when putting this system together to gently tap the plastic connectors into place completely. Some people said that their systems just fell apart--very likely that they didn't get the connectors in all the way. Tap your pieces in!

Once you get the hang of putting this system together, it's very easy! I've now put together 3 for myself and 3 for my mother. Just keep in mind that if you put it together properly (all the connectors are tapped in completely), you're probably never going to get this thing apart! It is extremely sturdy and strong... it's not going anywhere! I highly recommend this product!

I didn't realize how hard this would be to put together when I bought it. The first one took me well over an hour but the second one took about half the time once I had it figured out. I love the way the product looks and how many different configurations there are.

I bought this item in white at a Target store. After working on putting it together for over an hour, my hands were swollen and red, and I was completely frustrated.

The clips to hold it together don't fit the round corners of the panels well at all. Every cube I put together came out crooked.

I ended up taking it back to the store for a refund.
