Not so very pleased on this one. July 7, 2006 Reviewer:  Very pleased "SB" (Texas)  See all my reviews >

The glider color and fabric color are much darker than in the online photo. The denim is more like a new dark blue jean (but not as thick) than closer to the softer chambray that it appears. It was missing a screw that I will hopefully be able to pick up at the hardware store later on today. The arm rest cushions are not fitting well. They snap on but don't stay, I guess depending on how tightly they were sewn. The bottom cushion does not fit really well. The chair is comfortable, the bottom cushion could be thicker. The height is about right, although it is smaller than I thought it would be. I am 5'4" and my feet touch the floor fine. The chair goes together fairly easy; I did it in about 15 minutes and I am 8+ months pregnant. I did drape a blanket on the back as the fabric is a little itchy, definitely not the softest, but hopefully it should wear very well for years to come. Hopefully we won't have to go through the hassle of sending it back but I'm not the picky one; we'll see what my husband says about the glider when he gets home from work ;-) Overall- disappointed in the quality of the product for the price. I might have done better with something cheaper from [another retailer] or something more high end. I probably won't be buying anymore furniture online after this experience. [...]

Cushions smell like turpentine and are NOT machine washable January 24, 2008 Reviewer:  New Mom (Hollywood, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

The glider and ottoman were easy to put together, they look great and are very comfortable and not too big for a small apartment. The one negative thing about this chair is, it smells really bad. The cushions smell really bad like turpentine. It smells so bad, that the room itself started to smell like that. So I definitely didn't want to put it in the nursery as I had intended. I have tried to let it air out for a couple of days now, but it still smells. My next idea was to wash the cushions, as it said on the Target Website that the cushions are machine washable. Unfortunately it didn't come with any instructions how to wash the cushions, and when I called Storkcraft they told me the back- and the seat cushions are only hand washable. The pad on the ottoman is stapled to it, so that doesn't even come off, therefore can't be washed at all. I am very disappointed, because the idea of being able to wash the cushions was one of the reasons I decided to buy this particular chair with the beige cushions. So I am hoping the smell goes away, otherwise I will have to return it, because I am not comfortable rocking my little daughter to sleep breathing unidentified fumes. (The Storkcraft customer service was not able to tell me what could possibly cause the smell.)

Floating in heaven August 18, 2006 Reviewer:  Mummy Mindy "Mindymoo" (Ohio)  See all my reviews >

I bought this set after researching for a month. It's the exact same model/set that [a baby store] has but it's $15 cheaper. The cushion is a little firm but thanks to my husband breaking it in with his butt has started to soften up nicely. I highly recommend this Glider & Ottoman to any couple looking for quality at a great price.

Poor quality fabric September 5, 2007 Reviewer:  New mom See all my reviews >

Do not get this chair if you have pets. Although the frame is nice, the fabric is not durable. The fabric snags and unravels easily. My cats' back claws caught in the fabric easily and even vacuuming the chair with an upholstery attachment caused snags.

Cheap! July 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Alex's mommy (Texas)  See all my reviews >

I was absolutely thrilled with this glider at first. It looked great in my son's nursery, it was economical, and it was easy to put together. It was comfortable at first, and I loved the pockets on the sides of the chair. However, now that my son is 10 months old, the chair squeaks, one of the arms is coming apart, and there is a metal part in the rocking mechanism that is broken. So when we decide to have another baby, we are going to have to buy another glider because this one is just not going to work for us anymore. You are better off spending more money on a glider of higher quality. It will probably save you money in the long run. Perhaps we just got a bad one. It seems like many people are happy with this glider. But we read these reviews to get others' opinions on products before we buy them, so I'm giving my opinion and advice. I would encourage more people to write their reviews after they've gotten a lot of use out of this product, not after they've just gotten it out of the box and were thrilled about how great it looked it their nurseries.

Pretty Decent February 11, 2009 Reviewer:  Katie P (Illinois)  See all my reviews >

We received this chair for Christmas, our little girl is due in April...but I like to try to relax in this chair after a long day at work. The arm cushions and the back cushion are EXTREMELY comfortable - but the cushion - HA. SO incredibily uncomfortable! We purchased an extra large decorative pillow that matched the cherry in the frame and placed it there. Made a world of difference! If you're willing to do the same or find extra padding, then go for it! Definitely compatible with the price.

Glider came very quickly and was so easy to put together. Wood looks great and fabric cover looks very durable (time will tell!) What a great price for a quality glider, I am very pleased!

Very Pleased September 4, 2006 Reviewer:  Writerbyday30 "Suzanne T." (Hickory, N.C. USA)  See all my reviews >

I ordered this and received constant e-mail communication until it was shipped, and it arrived BEFORE the estimated delivery date, which made me very happy. The only thing I'm not rating this product with 5 stars is because the cushion seem a little on the cheap side. However, don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with this item and my husband put it together in less than 15 minutes! Looks very beautiful in my nursery. There was a scratch on the wood part where the paint is chipped, but I'm not too concerned with that.

Awesome Rocker August 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Erica "E Downing" (Santa Barbara, CA)  See all my reviews >

This rocker is awesome!!! It was really easy to put together, even my husband did it and he doesnt even know what a screwdriver is. Baby Austin loves to be put to sleep in it and it looks great in the room.

not really pleased August 27, 2008 Reviewer:  MJ's Mama "Wendy R" (Roseville, Ca)  See all my reviews >

It looks ok, but the padding is way too thin on the seat and the arm pads don't even fit the chair arms. The snaps don't work to hold the armpads in place either. This may be a "bargain" but we're taking it back and investing in another chair. I will give it this much, it was super easy to put together and arrived before it was supposed to. However the wood was chipped from shipping. I don't recomend this chair.
