Works Great For Us January 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Drew's Mom (Shepherd, MI)  See all my reviews >

I wasn't sure about this product due to the mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try. My husband installed the stove guard with ease. We've used the oven/stovetop almost everyday since we've had the stove guard, and we've had no problems with it so far (3 weeks). I like that the guard can be extended to prevent little hands from reaching around the guard onto a hot stovetop. Glad we bought this.

Excellent reassurance! July 20, 2007 Reviewer:  EvaandLuciasMama See all my reviews >

This is perfect-- I feel the reassurance of knowing my little ones can't reach up and touch a hot burner. While we would love to say we're watching constantly, sometimes your back is turned, especially while busy cooking in the kitchen!

But, it's still important to teach them not to touch the stove-- not every stove has the guard. In some ways, the reassurance can make you have your guard down in that regard!

We just moved and I CAN'T wait to get it up on our new stove!

1 star is too good for this awful item November 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Domestic Diva "Jenny M" (Florida)  See all my reviews >

I'm 5'0 and it gave me tons of trouble cooking! It fell off at least 5 times the 1 month I had it up before the glue officially melted, ALONG with the plastic piece! Awful product and I've sworn off ALL of this company's products, they're all garbage!!!

lasted one day October 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Peb "peb" (NY)  See all my reviews >

Needed the guard for my two year old. I did everything it asked me to do and it fell off the stove the next day. We tried to stick it back on and lasted one day again. Fell off in the middle of the night almost gave my husband a heart attack, thinking someone broke in...Well you know that thing went right in the garbage...A waste of money....

I love it BUT.... July 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Mommy of 2 BABY girls "Brandi W" (Fort Riley, KS)  See all my reviews >

I love this guard... it does it's job. I can cook and not worry about splatter and my daughter getting burnt. She now can't touch the burners. BUT... everytime the oven is on and makes the stove warm... the adhesive loosens and the guard falls off. I put it back on while the stove is cooling and then it stays on. Despite the adhesive problem, I would buy it again and for someone else. When you are cooking and it is hot, that is what it's for. You are there when you cook and you can push it back on. I LOVE that I bought it.

Waste of Money!! November 30, 2008 Reviewer:  Newbie Mom "Sue W" See all my reviews >

I followed the instructions to the T and installed this stove guard. No more than 5 hours later I heard a loud noise in the kitchen only to find that it had fallen off. I tried reattaching it but it kept falling off. When the stove gets hot forget about it! I got a gate for the kitchen door instead to keep my baby out when the stove is on. Don't waste your money on this product!

Useless March 22, 2008 Reviewer:  M. McDonagh "Mary Mom" Real Name (Chicago, Illinois)  See all my reviews >

Not sturdy at all - stickers that hold it to the stove are not durable - we replaced a few times and finally gave up

It does it's job February 13, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Edwards "wargamewidow" Real Name (Gateway to the West)  See all my reviews >

This guard does keep little fingers from getting too curious; however, if you are petite, it can get in the way of your cooking. I keep hitting the shield when I saute or fry. It was easy to install. I would buy again to keep my sweetheart's fingers from burning but I curse it when I cook!

it falls off when the stove gets hot January 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Ocala Mommy (Ocala, FL)  See all my reviews >

I had not one but TWO gurards on the front of my flat top stove fall off of the front of the oven. I noticed that it happened after the oven was on and got warm. Seriously, what's the point of the guard if it falls off when it gets warm.
